Martin Theodore Neske, 62, of Baker City, Oregon, died July 20, 2026.

A celebration of Martin’s life will be held Saturday, August 1, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at the Baker City Church of the Nazarene.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Haines Fire Protection District through Coles Tribute Center, 1950 Place Street, Baker City, Oregon 97814.

Martin enjoyed the outdoors, hunting (birds, ground squirrels, and deer), fishing (mostly ice fishing), and Christmas tree hunting with his family every year. If he ever had a break in the summer, a drive was what they did. If lucky, they would all go search for huckleberries.

A celebration of life is scheduled for August 1, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at the Baker City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Lennie Spooner Officiating.

Matthias "Matt" Kniesel, 83, a resident of Baker City, OR, died in Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, OR, on Monday, July 6, 2026, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Corvallis, OR, on June 26, 2026.

A celebration of Clara May’s life will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Monday, July 13, beginning with the Rosary at 12:30 PM, followed by Mass at 1:00 PM. After Mass, the family invites everyone to join them for coffee and desserts in the parish hall.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Huntington Community Church beginning at 11:00 AM. Pastor Richard Wagemaker of the Baker City Calvary Chapel will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice through Coles Tribute Center at 1950 Place Street, Baker City, OR 97814.

Clara May’s passions in life were her faith, her family, and her community. She was a leader in Cub Scouts and 4-H for her children. She was an active member of Soroptimist and Altar Society. She loved crocheting sweaters and blankets for loved ones, and while living in Hood River, she filled her days providing loving care to multiple families’ children.

A celebration rosary and Mass for Clara May’s life will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on July 13 at 12:30 PM for the Rosary and 1:00 PM for Mass. After Mass, please join the family for coffee and desserts in the church's parish hall.
