πŸ’™ YOU DON'T NEED A MEDICAL CERTIFICATION TO HELP CHANGE A LIFE.

New Directions Northwest is hiring a Detox/Respite Technician for our Recovery Village program in Baker City.
This is an opportunity to become part of an interdisciplinary team supporting people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
You'll work alongside Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, behavioral health professionals, and support staff serving individuals receiving medical detoxification and crisis respite services.
As a Detox/Respite Technician, you'll help:
β€’ Monitor client safety and wellbeing

β€’ Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
β€’ Support clients experiencing withdrawal or behavioral health crises
β€’ Keep the program running smoothly as part of the Recovery Village team
No medical certification is required for this position.
We're looking for compassionate, observant, dependable people who can remain calm under pressure, maintain professional boundaries, and treat every person with dignity and respect.

Have you heard the news?
September (and into early October) is Recovery Month, and this year's Eastern Oregon Walk for Recovery will be held in Baker City!

Join us, on October 3rd, in Geiser Pollman Park from 10am until noon.

Registration info is below:

πŸ’š REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! πŸ’š

This September during National Recovery Month and into October, Oregon Recovers is bringing the Walk for Recovery to seven communities across Oregon, and we invite you to walk with us.

Recovery changes lives. It strengthens families. It builds healthier communities. When people have access to treatment, mental health care, peer support, recovery housing, prevention, and other recovery services, they have the opportunity to heal, reconnect, and thrive. That's why we walk.

πŸ“ 2026 Walk Schedule

πŸ’š Klamath Falls β€” September 5
πŸ’š Rogue Valley (Medford) β€” September 11
πŸ’š Bend β€” September 13
πŸ’š Lane County (Eugene) β€” September 19
πŸ’š Portland β€” September 26
πŸ’š Eastern Oregon (Baker City) β€” October 3
πŸ†• Marion County (Salem) β€” October 10 (just added 2026!)

Whether you're walking to celebrate your own recovery, support someone you love, honor someone you've lost, or stand with those who are still searching for hope, your presence matters.

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your coworkers, clients, alumni, and community partners. Better yet, start a team and walk together.

🎟 Registration is just $25, and every registered participant receives an official Walk for Recovery T-shirt.

It was a beautiful night to visit with so many of you at the Community Night Out in Baker City!

Our Children's team, Prevention team and BHRN SUD peers did a great job engaging kids and community members in activities.

We even got to hear a great testimony of sobriety! Fourty years, and through our residential program!

This makes us proud.

Sharing a sampling of our night.
