🧠The truth is there is no such thing as “Fake” or “Real” Dopamine… It’s the same chemical either way.

Nevertheless, the terms “fake” and “real” dopamine are useful for understanding what your brain learns to expect after different activities.

Dopamine plays a central role in reward learning and motivation. When rewards come instantly and effortlessly, your brain adapts by raising the bar…. More stimulation is needed which then causes less patience for boring work.

✨So, the ultimate focus hack: reset your reward sensitivity.
•High sensitivity → less stimulation needed to feel motivated
•Low sensitivity → more stimulation needed for the same drive

✨One simple way to train this:
•Between tasks, avoid quick hits (scrolling, snacks, notifications).
•Do low-stimulation resets instead (walk, stretch, breathe).

✨Inner Child Healing✨

This is a process of acknowledging, understanding, & healing the wounds of your inner child.

This ongoing process requires unlearning past behaviors and replacing them with new ones that reinforce positive coping skills and present-day beliefs about who you are as a person.

The goal of healing your inner child is to make sure you fully process both positive and negative experiences from when you were younger, so you can move past them with a renewed understanding of your worth as a human being with very real thoughts and feelings 🤍

🛑If you’re feeling triggered, remember to S.T.O.P:

-STOP. Stop what you’re doing. Pause for a moment. Don’t react in the heat of the moment or when your emotions feel intense.
-TAKE A STEP BACK. Separate yourself from the situation for a moment. Take 3 deep breaths. Inhale through the nose and exhale out of the mouth to settle your nervous system.
-OBSERVE. Observe your experience just as it is. Notice whatever thoughts, feelings, and sensations are present.
Practice observing without judgment.
-PROCEED MINDFULLY. Think before acting. How would you like to respond?
How will your actions impact you, others, & the situation? Act with intention.
S.T.O.P. is a framework that comes from

DBT. It helps you practice responding mindfully so that you can react in a way that you feel good about.đź§

✨This is your sign to ground yourself✨

Your mental health is the cornerstone of your well-being.

In a world that often measures success by job titles, appearance, and others’ expectations, your mental health can be easy to forget about and not give much attention to.

Your mental health isn’t negotiable. It’s necessary for you to thrive in these areas. 🧠

No external opinion or pressure is more important than your inner peace. Take a moment to breathe and recognize this.🤍

đź’Š Daily D.O.S.E of feel good

✨Dopamine: drives motivation, focuses your attention, and reinforces positive behaviors by signaling anticipation and reward.

✨Oxytocin: a neuropeptide that functions in the brain and bloodstream to facilitate social bonding, emotional stability, and stress relief. It is also shown that Oxytocin can alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

✨Serotonin: A neurotransmitter and hormone that regulates mood, sleep cycles, digestion, and bone health. Serotonin regulates activity in the brain’s emotional center, helping manage stress, fear, and impulsive behaviors.

✨Endorphins: The brains natural pain killer and “feel good” chemicals. Endorphins are essential for boosting mood, decreasing anxiety, and creating a fundamental sense of well-being.

✨For the anxious overthinkers✨

Not every thought needs an answer.
Not every sensation is a warning.
Not every fear deserves your attention.

These are the reminders that helped me stop spiraling and start living again.
Save this post for the next time anxiety tries to convince you something is wrong. 🙏🏼

🧠Overthinking can sometimes be a way of avoiding what you’re feeling underneath.

Your mind (the overthinking part) tries to help by staying busy & replaying, analyzing, or problem-solving so you don’t have to sit with the emotion itself.

🌎Ways to manage overthinking include:
•Ground yourself~ be in the present moment. Pull your brain out of spiraling out of the past or future.
•Implement “Worry Postponement”~ set aside a 10-15 min block as your “worry time”. You can also write down your worry during your worry time to help release them from your active mental workspace.
•Shift your environment ~ Shift from worry mode to action/problem-solving mode. Go for a walk, stretch, or do a quick workout.
•Adjust your perspective ~ Talk to yourself in second person. This creates a psychological distance and helps you view your situation objectively.
