We provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, and wellness groups.

‘It Hurts to Heal’: Bakersfield Men Gather to Break the Silence Around Masculinity and Mental Health

Nearly two dozen men from diverse backgrounds gathered Friday at Hodel’s Country Dining in Bakersfield for the inaugural It Hurts to Heal: The Brotherhood Experience, part of a local effort to encourage men to talk openly about mental health and seek support before reaching a crisis.

Thank you to every parent/guardian who registered and made sure that their youth attended the 5th Annual Youth Mental Health and Wellness Symposium. The youth had a great time and learned a lot from the speakers and the activities. This group started off a little shy but they rose to the occasion and shared how much they learned. They laughed, they expressed their truths, they learned coping skills, we created an anthem, they uplifted each other and it was a safe space with no judgment!

Thank you to our guest speakers Cara Hernandez and Mills Gall who talked about Identity and Confidence. As well as thank you to our keynote speaker Jaubrae Dixon who captured the youths attention and had them all in. Your talk on Purpose was the highlight of the conference. I appreciate all of you.

Thank you to 2 Queens Fitness who came and talked to the youth about physical health and brought the energy with the workout. You ladies Rock!
