When Sean and I bought our RV, everyone kept saying the same thing:

"Oh! You must be so outdoorsy!"

Me?

Have we met? 😂

I finally realized I'm not outdoorsy.

I'm outsidey.

There's a difference.

That silly little phrase ended up teaching me something I wasn't expecting—not about camping, but about the pressure we all feel to become the kind of person we think we're supposed to be.

I cleaned out my closet today.

Not because I suddenly became organized.

One of the most common phrases I hear pregnant women say is:

“My doctor won’t allow me…”

And every time I hear it, I pause.

Not because medical recommendations are bad.
Not because providers are the enemy.

But because that phrase often stops the conversation before the real conversation ever begins.

For many wellness professionals, the actual appointment is only part of the job.

There’s also:
Driving.
Carrying equipment.
Loading and unloading your car.
Setting up.
Breaking down.
Laundry.
Managing traffic between clients.
Trying to stay present while already physically exhausted.

At first, mobile work or seeing clients in their homes can be a great way to start building.
