It’s completely normal for 3-5 year olds to feel anxious about separating from you. We see it all the time, especially with preschool around the corner! 🥺

But did you know that short, structured separations in a safe and supportive environment can help build the confidence they need for those bigger school-day goodbyes?

Introducing Preschool Prep Pals! ✏️

Our Play Therapist-led group is designed for this exact challenge. Your child will join the fun and learning inside, while you relax in a nearby designated area. This gives them a gentle opportunity to:
✅ Practice separating with confidence
✅ Learn social-emotional skills through play
✅ Manage “big feelings” associated with saying goodbye

The goal? Making the real preschool transition a whole lot easier for everyone. 💖

📅 DATES: August 17-21 (5 sessions)
⏰ TIME: 9AM-10AM

Is your little one feeling a bit nervous about heading to preschool this fall? 🎨🎒
Separation anxiety is a completely normal part of big transitions, but standard drop-offs don’t have to be stressful! Preschool Prep Pals is designed to give young children a safe, gentle, and supportive environment to build independence and confidence before the school year starts.
Led by two Play Therapists, this fun-filled group helps kids practice separation while knowing parents are right nearby in a designated area. Through play, social-emotional skill building, and managing “big feelings,” your child will gain the tools they need for a seamless transition into preschool!
Program Details:
Who: Children ages 3–5 entering preschool in September
When: August 17–21 | 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Where: The Lodge at Van Buren Park (2607 Conners Rd, Baldwinsville, NY 13027)

This is a great opportunity to get personalized, hands on experience from therapists on how to manage separation anxiety as the school year approaches. This can be a big step for our littles ones to take and as a caregiver, you play a major role in this transition.

Low cost therapy option for ages 18+

Reduce your anxiety in a supportive, guided environment. Our 12-week program, facilitated by Mindy Stapleton, LMSW, begins September 14th. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to sign up soon to secure your spot.
