Flood Yoga

Flood Yoga Flood Yoga is a Seattle studio offering slow flow, restorative, and meditative yoga. Rooted in mindfulness and community, our sanctuary welcomes all levels.

Born from this space, we also created FloodedWith—ritual candles and incense for mindful living. Flood Yoga is a Seattle yoga studio located in the heart of Ballard, offering classes, workshops, and memberships for all levels. With an emphasis on slow flow yoga, restorative practices, breath work, and meditative techniques, we provide an intentional alternative to fast-paced, fitness-first styles.

Rooted in mindfulness and community, our one-room studio is a sanctuary where students can pause, reset, and connect. Mats are always available for visiting students, and our space is designed for intentional movement and calm. Born from this sanctuary, we also created FloodedWith—a line of ritual candles and incense that extend the practice of mindfulness into daily life. Together, Flood Yoga and FloodedWith share a philosophy of slow living, intentional design, and everyday ritual.

Have you fallen in love with the scents of our FloodedWith candles and wondered how they’re created?

Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the art and alchemy of candle making with the owner and founder of Flood & FloodedWith.

In this hands-on two-hour workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of candle chemistry, practice intentional scent blending, and gain the essential knowledge behind a balanced, beautifully burning candle, one made with purpose from start to finish

You’ll select your own aromatic notes and create two candles to take home - each one a reflection of the season, your senses, and the simple ritual of making something by hand.

Registration is now open on Arketa.

Join us on Saturday, March 21st for a special 2.5-hour event celebrating spring - the season of rebirth, intention setting, and new beginnings.

The Spring Equinox marks the start of astronomical spring, when day and night are nearly equal in length, symbolizing the Earth’s awakening after winter. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, days begin to warm, trees bud, flowers bloom, and the renewed energy of nature and life emerges once again.

As we come out of hibernation, join us for a deeply healing session to welcome the Equinox. We will move through a 45-minute slow flow practice led by Flood founder , followed by tea, journaling, and guided intention setting. The evening will close with a 45-minute sound bath with .hampton, Flood’s resident sound healer.

Event registration is now open on Arketa.
Limited spots available.

To our Flood Family,

As a small business we’ve given a lot of thought regarding the national strike tomorrow. (Being a small business is hard!)

Flood has always been a place for rest and slowing down.

And we know that a lot of folks need that now more than ever.

In addition to our already planned donation based classes (Saturdays 1/31 and 2/7) we’ve chosen to remain open tomorrow with the following plan :

🤍 All of our team have been given the option to take the day off.

🤍 All proceeds for classes previously booked via class packages or drop-ins will be added to our donation efforts at https://monarcamn.org

🤍 A percentage of any unlimited packages who have already booked a class will also contribute to these donation efforts.

🤍 Any new and additional registrations for Friday classes will be bookable at no charge. A reservation will still need to be secured. We’re a tiny studio so grab your spot.

🤍 There will be a QR code on our community board where you can donate to Unidos MN (.minn) and the Minnesota ACLU.

Our intentions and mission at Flood have always been to hold space for all individuals. We stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors and our family and friends in Minnesota who have experienced atrocities of violence. Tomorrow and always. 🤍

Not everyone can take off tomorrow, and that’s OK. There are other ways to support. And, if you need an hour to be held, to be seen, to rest, we’re here for you always.

As a fellow midwesterner, we love you Minnesota, we see you, we’re standing with you from Seattle. Stay strong. xx

Love,
Kate + the entire team of Flood Yoga

Join us for a special 75 - minute gentle flow and sound experience; a soft landing after Valentine’s Day, and an invitation to expand love beyond romance and into community.

We’ll move through long-held, fully supported poses, guided breath, and a nourishing sound bath designed to soothe the nervous system and open the heart. We’ll explore love as presence, care, and connection for ourselves and for one another. The practice will also include a guided loving-kindness (metta) meditation, offering care and well-wishes inward, outward, and toward our shared community.

After practice, stay and linger. Enjoy sweet treats, pink bubbly (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic options), and unhurried time to be together with the Flood community. Come as you are — single, partnered, tender, full, or somewhere in between. This evening is about belonging, warmth, and shared humanity.

All props provided. No experience necessary.
Come rest. Come receive. Come celebrate love in all its forms.

“The least movement is of importance to all nature.
The entire ocean is affected by a pebble.” — Blaise Pascal

At Flood, we believe our practice is so much more than moving our bodies. Can our practice be a place of loving kindness and healing? Healing does not happen in isolation though, it happens in shared breath, shared space, and shared presence. When we come together, even quietly, something truly meaningful & magical can shift.

With this spirit in mind, we’ve added two donation-based classes to our upcoming schedule as a way of sending love and support to Minnesota (Sat 1/31 and Sat 2/7 at 12:45pm). You can book these classes directly in your Flood Yoga app… we are suggesting $20 per spot, with a minimum of $10… but you can donate as much as you wish.

100% of proceeds will be donated to .minn, directly supporting families and communities in Minneapolis. If you’re unable to attend one of these classes, we invite anyone who has the financial ability to contribute directly in whatever way feels right for you… Unidos MN (Monarca) and the Minnesota ACLU are two trusted local organizations.

Remember, even one small act of intentional kindness creates ripples far beyond what we can see. Let’s be a pebble affecting this ocean.

A few gentle reminders to help us protect the calm, presence and intimacy of our shared space. These values exist so you can arrive fully, honor what you need, and experience each class with ease - from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.

Thank you for moving through this space with mindfulness and care 🤍

As the year softens toward its close, we pause in gratitude & to reflect on all the beauty we’ve witnessed.

For the breaths shared.

The quiet moments.

The laughter, the tears, the showing up exactly as you are.

To our students: thank you for being the heartbeat of this space.

To our teachers: thank you for your wisdom, devotion, and care.

To the souls who gathered with us on retreat: thank you for trusting the journey and deepening the connection beyond the studio walls.

To our partners: thank you for allowing us to host your trainings. Thank you .hampton for bringing the beauty of your gifts (both sound & photography) to our little space. Thank you (u-village) for the number of collaborations both in store & studio. Thank you for having us for our inaugural retreat.

This year included our 1 year anniversary, a milestone we don’t take lightly. What began as a dream became a living, breathing community because of *you*.

This past month a student said to me, “I love your studio because I feel welcome, seen, understood and it never feels as though I’m being judged.” If there’s anything I’m most proud of, it’s the words from students expressing Flood as a place to call home. A place to move without ego or comparison. A sanctuary to show up exactly as you are and trust that you’ll be held. It is our greatest honor to hear thoughts such as these.

As we look toward 2026, we do so with open hearts; we are so excited for what’s to come: new classes, retreats, & workshops. Most importantly, simply more time together rooted in what we’ve already built.

We hope you’ll continue to walk this path with us, thank you for trusting us with your practice.

Endlessly grateful & filled with love. Thank you.  ✨🤍

Wow December; did you show up and fly by. 🤍

It has been a couple of weeks since some of our Flood community returned home from Joshua Tree after our very first retreat, and the energy of that time together is still lingering.

To call it magical would be an understatement. Held in the quiet vastness of the desert, the retreat unfolded with ease, intention, and deep connection. Again and again, the feeling echoed throughout the weekend: this group is just so harmonious, fluid, and deeply aligned. There was nourishment in the practices, spaciousness in the pauses, and an abundance of joy - along with a whole lot of laughter, seriously, the laughter!

What made this retreat what it was, was the people who showed up. Each woman arrived with openness, curiosity, and heart, creating a container that felt safe, supportive, and genuinely alive. The shared movement, conversations, silence, and presence with one another transformed the experience into something far more than a weekend away; it became a collective remembering, a rewilding.

To everyone that joined us, thank you for arriving so fully, for sharing your hearts, your practices, your stories, and your presence with us… and with one another. This retreat will forever live in our hearts. 🌵

2026 retreats are unfolding and we can’t wait to continue to adventure alongside of you.
