What a morning at the Coppermine Breast Cancer 5K! 🎀💪

Our FX Physical Therapy team had an amazing time joining our partners at Coppermine in Hampstead, MD, for a morning dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness, celebrating strength, and bringing our community together for a meaningful cause. 💕

From cheering on runners and walkers to providing post-race recovery at the FXPT Recovery Zone, we loved being able to support everyone who showed up, showed out, and moved for a purpose! 👏

💙 A HUGE thank you to Coppermine for having us as a recovery vendor, our incredible FXPT team for showing up, and every participant, supporter, and survivor who made this event so special.

Because movement is powerful, but a community that moves together? Even more powerful. 🫶

It’s World Mental Health Day — so let’s talk about the side of sports that doesn’t always make the highlight reel. 🧠💙

The wins. The PRs. The comeback posts. The celebrations. 🏆

We see those.
What we don’t always see? The pressure to perform, frustration after an injury, fear of reinjury, loss of confidence, or the mental battle of wondering, “Am I actually ready to go back?”
Because behind every athlete is a person first.

And supporting that person shouldn’t happen in a silo. Physical therapists, mental health professionals, physicians, athletic trainers, coaches, teammates and families can all play different roles in an athlete’s support system. 🤝

At FXPT, our role is helping athletes rebuild strength, movement, function and confidence in movement — while recognizing when the bigger care team matters.
