🚨 A 23-year-old man was admitted to Laniado Hospital after sustaining an electrical shock while working at a restaurant near Sironit Beach in Netanya.

The patient arrived in moderate condition after receiving initial medical treatment at the scene from מגן דוד אדום - Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah of Israel emergency teams.

We wish him a full and speedy recovery. 💙

Nearly three years after Hamas' brutal attack on Israel, the trauma of October 7 continues to claim lives.

Bar Asraf died by su***de at the grave of his beloved girlfriend, Liron Barda — a hero who stayed behind during the Nova Music Festival massacre to administer first aid to the wounded until she was murdered.

Bar's death is a heartbreaking reminder that, for the families and loved ones of the October 7 victims, the tragedy didn't end that day.

The psychological wounds run deep and the fight to support those living with catastrophic loss is far from over.

Congratulations to our friend, community leader, and proud Netanya resident, MK אלי דלל - Eli Dallal, on receiving the prestigious 2026 "Pioneers Award" from the World Sephardic Federation.

This distinguished honor recognizes individuals whose leadership, dedication, and lifelong contributions have helped strengthen the State of Israel and Israeli society.

What made this recognition especially meaningful was MK Dallal's humble response. Upon receiving the award, he credited his success not to himself, but to his parents, who immigrated from Baghdad to Israel in 1951. He called them the true pioneers, thanking them for instilling in him a deep love for the Land of Israel, the Jewish people, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.

Throughout his years of public service, MK Dallal has been a dedicated advocate for the city of Netanya and a valued friend of Laniado Hospital.

Mazal Tov, Eli, on this well-deserved honor. May you continue to inspire through your leadership, humility, and devotion to the people of Israel.

🚑 Emergency Response at Laniado Hospital

A 71-year-old man was brought to Laniado Hospital today in critical condition after being pulled unconscious from Blue Bay Beach in Netanya.

Following an emergency call received by מגן דוד אדום - Magen David Adom paramedics immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts at the scene before transporting the patient to Laniado Hospital while continuing CPR throughout the journey.

Upon arrival, Laniado's Emergency Department trauma team was prepared to continue providing intensive, life-saving care.

We extend our thoughts to the patient and his family during this difficult time and are grateful to the first responders and medical teams whose swift actions gave him every possible chance.

According to Israel's Ministry of Health report on wait times for elective surgeries, Laniado Hospital is proud to be the hospital with the shortest wait time in Israel for cataract surgery—just 22 days. ⏱️

This achievement once again demonstrates that it is possible to combine high patient volume, exceptional quality, and outstanding efficiency.

🏥 A First for Israel at Laniado Hospital!

Laniado Hospital is now the first hospital in Israel to perform a groundbreaking metal-free procedure for certain elbow fractures.

Instead of using traditional metal plates and screws, the new technique stabilizes the fracture with high-strength medical sutures, helping patients avoid the pain, discomfort, and often a second surgery required to remove metal implants.

The innovative procedure is being performed by Dr. Danny Rotman, Deputy Director of Laniado's Orthopedic Department, who is currently the only surgeon in Israel using this advanced technique.

Another example of Laniado's commitment to bringing world-class, patient-centered medical innovation to the people of Israel. 🇮🇱

New Community Basketball Court Dedicated In Memory of Itay Chen HY"D

Staff Sgt. Itay Chen was just 19 years old when he was killed on October 7, 2023, while heroically fighting Hamas near the Nahal Oz outpost. An American-Israeli, Itay was born in the United States, raised in Netanya, and proudly served as a tank gunner in the IDF's 75th Battalion. Tragically, his body was taken into Gaza by Hamas.

Although the IDF determined that Itay had been killed on October 7, his parents, Ruby and Hagit, and his brothers, Roy and Alon, refused to hold a funeral until he was brought home. For more than two years, they fought tirelessly to bring him back. During that time, Itay was the youngest American hostage held by Hamas.

In November 2025, their prayers were finally answered. Itay's remains were recovered, returned to Israel, and he was laid to rest with the dignity he deserved.

Itay loved basketball. To honor his life and legacy, a new basketball court was recently dedicated in his hometown of Netanya. In this video, Netanya Mayor Avi Salama takes the ceremonial first shot using Itay's basketball—a moving tribute to a young man whose life was cut tragically short but whose memory will continue to inspire.
