Patient came in worried about both ears. His last ear cleaning was 5 years ago. Denied using Qtips (I believe him) and wakes up regularly with one ear feeling blocked off. I asked about the last time he had his ears cleaned and he said he went to a minute clinic and they used water which caused pain and almost made him dizzy. Because of this I told him we would start was a curette. Once I started I realized water was really the best way to go so I asked him if we could try it again using my awesome irrigation system. He trusted me and I assured him keeping him comfortable was my top priority. You can hear me checking in with him at the beginning to check his comfort level…he said it felt good so I upped the pressure and immediately saw chunks of wax coming out. A nice final piece came out and clung to the tip of the irrigation system. Had to end with a wax haul so you could get a close up of the big piece! Part 2 will show the other ear 😜👂🧼
