Some people find their calling once. Amanda Moran keeps finding the way back to hers. 💛
For almost 30 years – in roles ranging from her start as a State-Tested Nurse Aide in memory care, to floor nurse, to hospice nurse – Amanda has learned to heal, to lead, and to hold people close in difficult moments. Every role taught her something new, and they all led her back to memory care.
Today she’s the Director of Health and Wellness at Symphony at Olmsted Falls in Ohio. Ask her why she keeps returning, and she’ll tell you it’s about time – specifically, how you count it.
“In dementia care, joy is measured in moments,” said Amanda. “Our goal is to create a full day of moments that keep the light shining.”
That’s how she connects with residents, and how she leads her team. Her colleagues describe her as a servant leader: someone who steps in wherever she’s needed, mentors new directors in Elegance communities throughout her region, and raises the bar for resident care at every turn.
☀️ Thank you, Amanda, for the light you bring and the connections you create.
