Happy National Custodian Day to the Environmental Services (EVS) teams across LifeBridge Health!

Here our custodial team all falls under our Environmental Services department, and it's made up of EVS technicians, floor technicians, housekeeping aides and more. Together, they're some of the most important people in patient care, even if patients never see most of what they do.

Infection prevention starts with EVS. A clean room is a safe room, and a safe room is where healing happens. Our nurses, doctors and patients count on this team every single shift, day and night.

To every EVS tech, floor tech, and housekeeping aide: thank you for the care you put into every room!

The American Heart Association Heart Walk torch made its way across LifeBridge Health, traveling from MedStar Health through our hospitals before continuing on to Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Along the way, leaders, clinicians and team members proudly carried the torch, celebrating the impact of heart-healthy living and our shared commitment to cardiovascular health.

Meet one of our Race for Our Kids Superstars, Brody! 💙

A fever that wouldn't break sent Brody's family to Carroll Hospital in the middle of the night. A burst appendix sent them to the Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai, where 4-year-old Brody spent 19 days — and where the team brought in a giant triceratops after he mentioned his dinosaur room at home.
