SOCIAL WORKERS: Medicaid changes are coming, and your clients may have questions. 👀
Some adults on Medicaid may soon need to meet new requirements to keep their coverage. These could include:
✔️ Working
✔️ Volunteering
✔️ Going to school
✔️ Job training
✔️ Or a combination of these
The important part: This does not apply to everyone. Some people are exempt, and the rules may vary by state.
Your clients may ask things like:
💬 “Will I lose my Medicaid?”
💬 “Does taking care of a family member count?”
💬 “What paperwork do I need?”
💬 “Who do I call for help?”
You don’t need to know every Medicaid rule. Just knowing the basics can help you point clients in the right direction.
