🎉 We are excited to announce the launch of the website for the Collaborative for Equity in Cardiac Care (CECC)!

The CECC is a five-year national initiative focused on improving access to high-quality, person-centered care for people with cardiovascular conditions living in under-resourced U.S. communities. Funded by the Merck Foundation, the Collaborative supports 11 nonprofit health care and public health organizations, along with a National Program Office, all known for their deep community ties, partnerships, and expertise in delivering person-centered care.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity serves as the National Program Office to support program grantees in the development, implementation, and evaluation of this initiative, while also fostering cross-site learning across the Collaborative. JHCHE faculty Lisa A. Cooper, MD, MPH and Deidra C. Crews, MD, ScM serve as Co-Directors of the NPO, supported by other members of the NPO Evaluation Team, Emmanuel Drabo, PhD, Jill Marsteller, PhD, MPP, Jessica Yeh, PhD, and JHCHE staff.

To close out the Jam Sessions for the academic year, we will host two former scholars of the Center’s Mid-Atlantic Center for Cardiometabolic Health (MACCH) Project, to discuss their experience as MACCH Scholars and the findings of their pilot projects, with an emphasis on two major focus areas—adolescent health and food systems for health.

We will hear from Allison Sylvetsky, PhD, Professor and Chair of the Department of Nutrition at the University of Rhode Island and Kathryn Taylor, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.

We hope you join us for "Health Inequities Across Lives from Childhood to Young Adulthood—Presentations by 2 MACCH Pilot Awardees."
