Relationships 💜 are so much bigger than the versions of love many of us were taught through rom coms, fairy tales, social media, and survival patterns.
The older I get, and the more healing I do, the more I realize relationships are actually one of the hardest things to maintain health in.
They’re mirrors.
They impact our nervous systems. They shape the way we see ourselves. They influence the way we love, communicate, rest, trust, and move through the world.
Relationships are where we go to:
vent
cry
laugh
be held
be supported
feel seen
hopefully feel safe enough to fully be ourselves
So much of who we are has to do with who we’ve related to… and who we’re currently connected to.
And honestly? Healthy relationships feel a lot calmer than I expected them to.
Less performing. Less anxiety. Less trying to earn love.
More mutual. More grounded. More real.
I truly believe the right relationships help you feel more connected to yourself… not further away from yourself.
Relationships are a huge part of self care too. 🤍
What’s something healing has taught you about relationships???
Also, did you know I wrote a book? 📚 👀 ..And, I still love you
