Inclusive sports aren't about being the fastest or the strongest, they're about building confidence, learning new skills, making friends, and having fun.

With the right preparation and support, children can participate more successfully in community sports and enjoy meaningful experiences alongside their peers. ABA can help children develop communication, social skills, flexibility, emotional regulation, and independence so they feel more confident both on and off the field.

Preparing your home for ABA therapy isn't about buying expensive equipment or creating the "perfect" therapy space. It's about making small, meaningful changes that encourage communication, independence, and everyday learning.

Simple strategies like organizing toys, creating opportunities for independence, rotating preferred items, and reducing distractions can make a big difference in your child's success.

Most importantly, remember this: your home doesn't need to look a certain way before therapy begins. Real learning happens in real homes, with real families, and within the routines you already have.

💚 Your child's first ABA sessions may look different than you expected, and that's a good thing.

If your child's therapist spends the first sessions playing, laughing, and building a connection, they're doing something incredibly important: building rapport and building the foundation of their therapy relationship.

In ABA therapy, this stage is called pairing. Before asking a child to complete tasks or learn new skills, we focus on helping them feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn. Strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful progress.

While it may seem like "just play," your therapist is observing, learning about your child's interests, collecting valuable clinical information, and building the trust that makes future teaching successful.
