(No online sessions) I remember the frustration even at a young age of being sidelined from doing what I loved. My Mom also had Post Polio Syndrome, so I got to witness first hand the impact of poor health management on an entire family when

outcomes and education are not optimal for the client. I realized my Mom had to try and figure out how to maintain her fitness on her own, as well as juggling the fear of possibly injuring her susceptible joints. While she has found ways to keep kayaking, biking, and walking to keep healthy, she could've done it with much less fear if she had a guide. Right out of High School I knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist, but I've always had a love for the weight room and the spirit for increasing performance without the nagging injuries that prevent you from being consistent with your workouts. I completed my Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy at Husson University. I then moved to Greenfield, MA where I had the opportunity to complete a 1 year residency in Physical Therapy Orthopedics at Baystate Franklin Medical Center and Springfield College. After that we moved to Boston and attended a 2 year fellowship in complex spine conditions at the Institute of Orthopeadic Manual Therapy in Woburn, MA with a focus on patient communication and hands on treatments. I also received my certificate as a strength and conditioning specialist while in Boston. I had to opportunity to work the MIT men's basketball team, local Gaelic football teams, athletes from surrounding colleges in Boston, and members of the Celtics dance team. Maybe you're working out for yourself, or maybe you're doing it for your family, but I am so excited and proud to be a part of your health and wellness journey! Credentials:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist through the APTA
- CSCS through the NSCA
- Orthopedic Manual Therapist through the Institute of Orthopeadic Manual Therapy

When pain starts affecting the things that help you feel like yourself again… it hits differently.

For a lot of active adults, the gym isn’t just about workouts.

It’s:
• stress relief
• confidence
• routine
• mental health
• feeling strong again

That’s why moments like bench pressing pain-free for the first time in a long time matter so much.

Because it’s often about more than just the exercise itself.

Sometimes it’s about finally starting to trust your body again.

Do you know what a lot of hikers in Maine are secretly grieving?

The version of themselves that used to say yes to every trail without thinking twice.

Our patients tell us foot pain changes more than just hiking.

It changes confidence.

Because once your foot starts flaring up every time you hike… You stop trusting your body.

You start questioning the trips you used to get excited about.

The mountain becomes “maybe next year.”
The hike with friends turns into “I should probably sit this one out.”
And vacations start feeling more stressful than freeing because you spend the whole time wondering how bad your foot will hurt tomorrow.

That’s the part people don’t talk about enough.

The pain slowly teaches you to make your world smaller.

At Premier Rehab and Training, we help active adults get to the root cause of why their foot keeps getting overloaded in the first place.

Because the goal isn’t just less pain.

It’s feeling confident enough to say yes to the adventures you love again.

If your low back always feels tight…

There’s a good chance your muscles aren’t actually “weak.”

They’re overworking all day long.

A lot of people stretch their low back or hammer glute exercises trying to “fix” an anterior pelvic tilt…

But if those muscles never learn how to relax first, they’ll keep pulling you right back into the same tight, stiff feeling.

At Premier Rehab & Training, we help our patients understand WHY their body is compensating in the first place.

Because where it hurts is often not the real problem.

And this is what we call the root cause.

Follow us to learn why the place you feel pain is often not the place your problem actually starts.

One of the most frustrating parts about dealing with pain is not knowing what to do anymore.

You stretch.
You rest.
You try exercises you found online.
You push through it for a while.

Maybe something helps temporarily… But the pain keeps coming back.

After enough time, it starts feeling less like a physical problem and more like you're stuck guessing.

That's why so many active adults we work with aren't just looking for pain relief.

They're looking for clarity.

They want to understand:
• WHY the pain keeps returning
• What's actually driving it
• And what a real long-term plan looks like

Because when you finally understand what's going on with your body, you stop feeling like you're throwing random solutions at the wall hoping something works.

And honestly?

That peace of mind matters just as much as getting out of pain.

Most plantar fasciitis rehab focuses on the area that hurts.

We find and focus on the WHY you have knee pain in the first place.

Often times, it's not because of a foot problem.

These are 5 exercises we use in the clinic to help restore movement, reduce compensation, and get to the root cause.

Because temporary relief isn’t the goal. Long-term confidence is.

DM us the word "FOOT” if you’re tired of the same cycle of pain.

✨ Patient of the Week ✨

Knee pain, foot pain, and low back discomfort were making it harder to stay active.

As a lifelong athlete, they were frustrated by the constant cycle of activity, pain, recovery, and repeat.

Despite trying other providers, relief never seemed to last.

After working with Premier Rehab and Training, things started to change.

Just 2 months into care, they're back playing pickleball multiple days per week with no knee, foot, or back pain.

What changed wasn't avoiding activity.

It was understanding what their body actually needed to move well again.

Stories like this are why we do what we do.

"I don't want my family taking care of me because I didn't take care of myself."

This is what someone said on a call recently.

They weren't talking about shoulder pain.

They were talking about their future.

Because every time they reached overhead...

Every time they tried to lift something...

Every time their shoulder reminded them it was there...

They couldn't help but wonder where this was heading.

Most people spend months searching the internet for the "best" shoulder exercise.

Trying stretch after stretch.

Exercise after exercise.

Hoping one of them will finally be the answer.

The problem?

Your shoulder pain is unique to you.

The exercise that helped someone else online may have nothing to do with what your body actually needs.

Our patients tell us they aren't looking for another random exercise.

They're looking for answers.

They're looking for a plan.

They're looking for confidence that they'll be able to keep doing the things they love for years to come.

At Premier Rehab and Training, we help people uncover the root cause of their pain and build a plan designed specifically for them.

Because taking care of yourself today is what allows you to stay independent tomorrow.

Thanks to Jen for letting us come in on a sunny evening and have the knee pain workshop last night!

Here were 3 of the biggest takeaways:

1️⃣You need to look at more than your knee to find the root cause of knee pain

2️⃣If your hips cannot move then your knees and back will have to compensate

3️⃣You need to be able to move your center of gravity back to push straight down into the ground

If you’ve already tried PT, stretching and rest, but still have knee pain…

Comment “KNEE” and we’d be happy to chat!

If you've been dealing with hip pain for a while, there's a good chance you've been told some version of:

"Strengthen your glutes."

And while stronger glutes aren't necessarily a bad thing...

that's not always the real problem.

We meet active adults all the time who have spent months trying to:
• Strengthen their glutes
• Stretch more
• Modify workouts

Only to find that the pain keeps coming back.

The frustrating part isn't the pain itself.

It's doing everything you're supposed to do and still feeling like you're not making progress.

That's why we spend time helping people understand WHY their body is compensating in the first place.

Because if you only focus on the area that hurts, you might miss the reason it keeps coming back.

If hip pain has been keeping you from hiking, working out, or staying active the way you'd like, there may be a better answer than just squeezing your glutes harder.

You should never spend another summer avoiding the mountains you love.

Yet that's exactly what many hikers with knee pain are doing.

They tell themselves:

"It's not that bad yet."

"I'll just take it easy."

"I'll deal with it after hiking season."

Then another trail gets skipped.

Another weekend adventure gets passed up.

Another summer goes by watching photos from the summit instead of standing on it.

The hardest part isn't the knee pain.

It's what you're missing out on because of it.

The Saturday mornings on the trail.

The people you've come to know along the way.

The feeling of standing on a summit after a long climb.

The one place where work, emails, and responsibilities finally disappear for a few hours.

For many hikers, the trail isn't just exercise.

It's where they feel most like themselves.

We hear it all the time.

"I'll get through this hiking season first."

"I'll worry about it later."

But one season becomes two.

And before you know it, the mountains you love have become something you only talk about instead of experience.

Don't let this be the summer you sit out.

Join us for a FREE Knee Pain Workshop at Thriving Proof on June 3rd at 5:30 PM.

We'll discuss why knee pain keeps coming back, what may be contributing to it, and practical steps you can take to keep hiking the trails you love.
