✨🎶 Our journey through the decades has officially begun! 🎶✨

We kicked things off with the Roaring 20s! 🎩💃 Residents enjoyed listening to records on the record player, reminiscing about the “good old days,” and sharing plenty of memories along the way. ❤️

Then we finished the day in true 1920s fashion with a Roaring 20s themed dinner! 🍽️✨

What a way to start our trip through time! Next stop… the 1950s! 🎶🕺

Today we braved the rain and headed to the Akron Zoo for the annual Senior Safari! 🦁🐒

The highlight of the day? Our sweet Virginia, who will be 106 years young in October, got her picture taken with a 107-year-old tortoise!

2 centenarian queens out here living their best lives 🫶🏼👑

🌟 Huge shoutout to our amazing staff who make outings like this possible! Seeing how much they genuinely enjoy these moments with our residents makes my heart so happy. ❤️ 🌟

Today’s outing was extra sweet! 🍦❤️ Our residents, Joe and Jean, once owned the Dairy Queen Dairy Queen Grill & Chill - Canal Fulton when it was at its old location. Even sweeter, current manager Corry’s children once worked for Joe and Jean — talk about a full-circle moment! 🥹

A big thank you to Corry and her staff for making our trip absolutely perfect. They even let Joe and Jean get behind the counter one more time ❤️🍨

Craft time was in full bloom today! 🌸💐 Our residents created the most beautiful flower bouquets—and they turned out absolutely gorgeous! 🌷✨

🐝🍯 What a SWEET start we had to our morning the other day! 🍯🐝

Our very own Pleasant Pointe nurse (and entrepreneur), Jessica, along with her husband, treated our residents to a fascinating presentation all about beekeeping and honey! They even brought in one of their beehives for everyone to see up close and shared some of the delicious honey they produce and sell.

Our residents loved learning about the bees, asking questions, and—of course—the best part… the honey taste testing! 🍯😋

A huge thank you to Jessica and her husband for sharing their knowledge, passion, and a little sweetness with us. We were definitely buzzing about this one! 🐝💛

Today we headed to a Barberton favorite, El Jalapeños for a delicious lunch! 🌮

There’s nothing like getting out together and enjoying some of our favorite local spots! ❤️

Today’s adventure took us to an Akron staple — Luigi's Restaurant! 🍕🇮🇹

And as if a trip to Luigi’s wasn’t already a treat, it just so happened to be Mary Helen’s birthday! 🥳🎂 We couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate with delicious food, lots of laughs, and great company.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Luigi’s for being so welcoming and accommodating to our group and helping make our visit — and Mary Helen’s birthday — extra special! ❤️

🛥️☀️ Summer days are better on the water! ☀️🛥️

This summer, our residents had the opportunity to enjoy two beautiful pontoon rides on Portage Lakes! There’s just something about sunshine, fresh air, good company, and cruising around the lake that makes for a pretty perfect day. 💙

A HUGE thank you to Richard Morris who generously shared his boat, his time, and two memorable days with us. Experiences like these mean so much to our residents, and we’re incredibly grateful! 🥰
