- Bardstown Man and Woman Sentenced to Federal Prison -

Two Bardstown residents have been sentenced in federal court for their roles in a fentanyl and co***ne trafficking operation.

According to federal prosecutors, 50-year-old Neal Scott Stone was sentenced to 30-and-a-half years in prison and ordered to pay a $40,000 fine. Forty-two-year-old Keely Logsdon was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.

The pair were arrested in 2023 following an investigation into drug trafficking activities in the Bardstown area.

Prosecutors said Stone and Logsdon conspired to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl and co***ne on eight separate occasions between August 2022 and June 2023. Investigators alleged Stone, a truck driver, transported the drugs from the Southwest border and Mexico to Nelson County for distribution.

Stone's lengthy sentence was enhanced due to multiple prior federal drug trafficking convictions, including co***ne-related offenses in 2008 and co***ne and he**in distribution convictions in 2015.

Federal officials noted that there is no parole in the federal prison system.
