Walton Retirement Home Cherishing People since 1944 Christian principles guide the love and support we provide. Security is provided by our 24 hour staff and wireless call system.

Walton Retirement Home is an affordable, non-profit community for assisted and independent living where residents and their families are cherished. We offer help with daily activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, dressing and medication assistance. We have an on-site beauty salon and offer many activities to entertain our residents.

Happy Saturday! Today was airplane day in Barnesville and thank you Jodi Ward for taking some of our residents out to have some fun.! They ate lunch and mingled with everyone. Jake Kim was out helping directing cars, And our very own Susan out with her wonderful family. Airplane Day put in the books for #2026

" Walton Fundays " Picking strawberries, to making homemade strawberry pie our residents loved the doing this and being part of the Bakers Club. The strawberry pies were absolutely delicious. Jodie W. & Lisa H. had lunch bunch Friday with some of our residents and took them to Melman's. (Every resident will have a chance to go out and have a wonderful time outdoors) Big shout out to Rick Reisbecks & Neely McCort for the amazing food & Joes Tires and Pattie Napolitano for sponsoring our kickoff of our newly remolded Courtyard. Thank you to the singing Mayhughs for putting on a wonderful show as always, it was a packed house for sure. Special thanks to the ladies for making snow cones for the residents & staff. With out our community and helping hands this would not be possible! We have so much stuff planned for our 2026 Summer in the Courtyard!

Thank you Olney Friends School for hosting our Rotary luncheon on Tuesday 5/19/26. Everything was perfect, we enjoyed the seniors sitting with and letting us know what their future holds! Thank you guys for coming out to the Walton Home and engaging with our residents and they enjoyed every minute. Good luck to the Class of 2026 and best wishes to you all!

We had a wonderful entertainment; Daniel Kirk was our entertainer he was our DJ and let me tell ya when our residents hear music it is hard to keep them down! We celebrated our residents & staffs' birthdays for May!

"Announcement" Walton Home is hiring a fulltime day shift resident aide (6am-2pm), Afternoon part time 2pm-10 pm and a full time LPN 6am-2pm. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or continue their career in healthcare environment. These positions will assist residents with task of daily living including but not limited to assistance with personal care, social interaction, leisure and recreation opportunities. We are flexible with scheduling, Every other weekend off and some holidays. Stop in and fill out an application at the front desk. " High Lights of Last week "Weather was wonderful last week. Our residents took advantage of it as well, we grilled out hamburgers & hotdogs, and they loved eating lunch outside and listened to music. Thank you Deby Cook & and our staff for getting our residents out on the patio so they good enjoy their lunch! Nancy Napolitano, Susan Mullett and Myself (Amy Keiser) went to the Chambers Spring Bouquet Thursday night. The food and appetizers were amazing Thank you R&R Catering, the table decor was beautiful, and our napkins formed like shamrocks was beautiful! The homemade centerpieces that our local businesses made was absolutely amazing! Congratulations to Bill Knox for getting citizen of the year! Memphis Blackstone did amazing job on the auctioneering. Kudos to our guest speaker Michael Schuster. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
