Fentanyl continues to be one of the deadliest drugs impacting communities across the United States. Many counterfeit pills made to look like prescription medications are laced with fentanyl, and just one pill can be enough to cause a fatal overdose.

📢 Recent Update: In July 2025, the HALT Fentanyl Act was signed into federal law. The law permanently classifies fentanyl-related substances as Schedule I controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act, strengthening federal penalties against the trafficking and distribution of illicit fentanyl and its analogues.
