Our signature event is bowling for FREE in exchange you form a team and help us raise money for the clinic. You get a fun morning of bowling while supporting our free clinic that offers medical, dental and social needs for all of Central Vermont (yes, that's you!)

Saturday, November 7th from 9-11AM at Twin City Family Fun Center in Berlin!

Grab 3–5 friends, coworkers, family members, or whoever else you can convince to spend a Saturday morning bowling for a great cause. Dress up, wear costumes or bring your best bowling A-game....there are prizes for best dressed, loudest team, best score, worst score, ETC! 🏆📣💯

Teams raise a combined minimum of $300 fundraising with all proceeds going to support the People’s Health & Wellness Clinic and our important work providing free health care to uninsured and underinsured Vermonters.

Every team bowls for FREE, with free bowling shoes to use, plus plenty of fun and cool locally donated prizes throughout the event! 🎳

It was a pleasure to welcome Sen. Anne Watson of Barre City to the People’s Health & Wellness Clinic for a tour and conversation with our staff and volunteers!

Sen. Watson was a tremendous help to Vermont’s free clinics during this year’s legislative session as we worked to secure additional funding and make the case for the critical role free clinics play in our health care system.

During her visit, Sen. Watson met with Executive Director Daniel Barlow, Director of Oral Health Joanne Puente, and members of our staff and volunteer team. We talked about the investments PHWC is making in our clinic operations as we prepare for what could be a significant increase in the number of Vermonters who are uninsured or underinsured as health insurance premiums continue to rise and federal Medicaid eligibility rules become more restrictive.

We also discussed the Universal Primary Care bill and one of the very real challenges facing many of our patients: the cost of dentures and other essential dental care. For patients living on limited incomes, something as basic as replacing missing teeth can be financially out of reach.

We appreciate Sen. Watson taking the time to see our work firsthand and to learn more about the people we serve.

PHWC is a nonpartisan organization. We do not endorse candidates or political parties, and we welcome elected officials and candidates from all parties to visit the clinic, meet our team, and learn more about the work we do to provide health care to uninsured and underinsured Vermonters.

🎉 Happy Birthday, Ellen! 🎂

We celebrated our wonderful bookkeeper and data manager, Ellen Dunkling, with her PHWC co-workers and volunteers today!

Ellen is so much more than the person keeping our books and data in order - she is an incredible advocate and ambassador for PHWC and the people we serve. We are incredibly lucky to have her on our team!

Help us wish Ellen a very happy birthday! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Barre VT Pride for a generous $2,000 donation to support the work of the People's Health & Wellness Clinic and an additional $2,000 donation to Vermont CARES, our partner and tenant at 51 Church Street.

What began in 2021 as a small community bake sale has grown into an annual celebration that brings people together while raising thousands of dollars for Vermont nonprofits. That growth is a testament to the dedication, generosity, and community spirit behind Barre Pride.

Ericka and Joe Reil and Danny McGibney from Barre Pride stopped by the clinic today to deliver the donations, and we were grateful for the opportunity to thank them in person.

Thank you to everyone at Barre Pride for all you do for the Granite City and beyond. The People's Health & Wellness Clinic is proud to stand in support of our LGBTQ+ friends, neighbors, patients, and community members.
