While some of the folks were out fishing, others were crafting!!
Our activity aides pulled together a last minute craft and helped the residents make these adorable octopuses!!
They are sure to brighten up our busy activity room 🐙

🎣 There is nothing better than enjoying a beautiful day on the Barrett lake fishing with friends 🎣
Some folks from Barrett Assisted Living and Barrett Care Center got to enjoy the afternoon fishing with the wonderful guys from “Let’s Go Fishing”!
Today was the perfect day to catch some nice size fish too!!!
They were all smiles and full of fishing stories when the folks got off the boat to come home!
Thank you again to the guys who guided us to a fantastic day of fishing! You definitely go above and beyond so we can enjoy the outdoors!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to the Golden Boutique for coming to Barrett Care Center today for a fabulous shopping experience!
Our residents from Barrett Assisted Living and Barrett Care Center enjoyed an afternoon of shopping in their own home!!
The gals from Golden boutique were so friendly and helpful and made our day extra special.
There were beautiful clothes, jewellery, socks, slippers and more to choose from.
They also treated the residents to some sparkling juice and soft music for an upscale shopping experience.
Then our dietary crew passed some treats around so our shoppers wouldn’t go hungry 😋!
What a fantastic experience for our BCC & BAL residents and staff!

Barrett Care Center ended the National Skilled Nursing Week with picnic day!! We kicked the day off painting picnic themed paintings hand drawn by one of our artistically talented activity staff members, then our dietary staff grilled us hamburgers and hotdogs, made some yummy potato salad and treated everyone to root beer floats!!
Even the ants made an appearance on our picnic day🐜🧺🍔
Last week was a great week celebrating our fantastic staff and administrators! We are blessed to have the best here at BCC!

A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Engelbrecht and her 6th grade class and Mrs. Kreft from WCA who brought rocks to paint and visit with our residents. Even our dog Duke went around and introduced himself to the students. 😂
We want to thank Kari Kreft for all the hard work she put into organising our Age Friendly monthly visits from classes from our 3 WCA Schools. We appreciate you Kari!
We can’t wait to see what next year brings!!
