We wish more moms knew recovery takes longer than 6 weeks.

Here’s what research shows:

-The uterus and placenta site heal in the first several weeks, though your body is still doing quiet internal repair for months.

- Muscles, joints, and tissues can take up to a year to fully recover and feel strong again.

- Hormones and brain chemistry shift rapidly after birth but can remain in flux for months to years, especially while breastfeeding.

The transition into motherhood—your routines, identity, and sense of self—is a journey that continues well beyond the first year. Postpartum pelvic floor recovery is an essential step in healing after childbirth.

Beyond the Hot Flash: A Real Conversation About Perimenopause & Menopause

Perimenopause and menopause affect every aspect of a woman’s health—from hormones and mental health to bladder health, pelvic floor function, oral health, movement, and overall well-being. Yet so many women are left feeling like they’re expected to “just deal with it.”

I’m honored to be joining an incredible panel of healthcare professionals for an honest, evidence-based conversation about what women are really experiencing and, more importantly, what can actually help.

You’ll hear from a pelvic floor physical therapist (that’s me!), urogynecologist, chiropractor, psychotherapist, and dentist, each bringing a unique perspective on navigating perimenopause and menopause.

Together, we’ll discuss topics like:
✨ Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)
✨ Bladder leakage & urgency
✨ Pelvic pain & intimacy
✨ Vaginal health & hormonal changes
✨ Exercise & movement
✨ Oral health during menopause
✨ Mental health & identity shifts
✨ Building a supportive healthcare team

Whether you’re in perimenopause, menopause, supporting someone who is, or simply want to learn more, this conversation is for you. Men are encouraged to attend too! Understanding what the women in your life are experiencing is one of the best ways to offer meaningful support.
