Trusted source for pure essential oils, aromatherapy products, perfumery, incense, and soap for 40 years! We do not test on animals.

Kamala's Own carries over 500 oils, over 100 incenses, and over 100 herbs. We hand make soaps, massage oils, lotions, and bath salts with no artificial colors or preservatives. As of March 15, 2011, all of our products are gluten-free. Many of our essential oils are organic. We are a woman-owned, independent craft business, not a distributor or MLM.

The Colorado Renaissance Festival has closed its gates for the 2026 season. All the products are packed up in my van and I’m ready to drive home to Chicagoland after today’s recovery time. Thank you kindly to all the wonderful folks who graced my shop this year. You were sweet and friendly. My wonderful minions and I are grateful to you for your kindness, humor, and patience with us on the busy days. Remember that the fragrant fun doesn’t stop with the end of the festival. With all the perfumery work we do, it can sometimes be less obvious that we practice aromatherapy as well. We carry over 100 pure essential oils sourced from over a dozen reliable and ethical suppliers. Kamala originally started this business selling essential oils and aromatherapy blends only. The perfumery came later. Kamala has a diploma in Aromadermatology from The Tisserand Institute as well as two certificates in Essential Oil Safety. She is always happy to consult with you on custom aromatherapy blends for healing body, mind, and spirit. Another great summer scent is Hijinks! This scent grew out of a silly conversation with friends about shenanigans we’ve seen. We all agreed I needed to make a scent like that. n 2024 I was privileged to join in the fifth anniversary celebrations for Barrington’s elegant Perfume Passage, a gorgeous museum of perfume history and perfume packaging. For that event, I taught a workshop on scent blending. My eager students had ingredients such as Golden Sandalwood, Fresh Cut Grass, and Green Fig with which to blend, and their creations were greatly inspiring to me.
