Phillip Keith Ardrey went to be with our Lord on August 1, 2026.

Phillip was born February 22, 1971, to Kenneth Ray Ardrey and Sharon Kay Hicks (Hutton) in Nowata, Oklahoma. In the mid 90s to early 2000’s, Phil worked as a heavy equipment and crane operator and was employed at the coal mines for several years.

Phil is survived by both sons, Dakota Dean Ardrey (Charie Ardrey) and two granddaughters Brynlee Rose Ardrey and Ashlyn Marie Neas of Dearing, KS, Jacob Tyler Ardrey of Nowata, OK, a brother Roger Lee Ardrey of Bartlesville, OK, a sister Dana Kay Ardrey of Collinsville, OK, 5 nieces, Heather Yvonne Collins and (Jeremy Usher) of Delaware, OK, Jamie Dale Moon and (David Moon) of Killeen, TX, Jennifer Dawn Ardrey of Nowata, OK, Jessica Diane Ardrey of Nowata, OK, Kaitlyn Marie Ardrey of Nowata, OK, 1 nephew Jeremy David Ardrey and (Annette Ardrey), of Sioux Falls, SD. 4 great nieces, Paige Elexa Ardrey, Baylee Jo Collins, Salem Elise Usher, Madisyn Rae Ardrey, 2 great nephews, David Franklin Ardrey and David (Blu) Moon.

Kelly Dawn Gilliland, 65, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Jane Phillips Hospital, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Kelly was born on June 16, 1961, in Waukegan, Illinois, to John and Sue (Weaver) Gilliland. She grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma, graduating from Dewey High School in 1979.

She built a successful career in banking and later as a mortgage lender in the Bartlesville area. Beyond her career, Kelly devoted countless hours to serving her community through local boards, organizations, and volunteer work. She believed in showing up for others, and she did so with a generous heart that touched countless lives.

Kelly loved books and magazines, sunbathing, watching Dateline, taking scenic drives with the top down, and spending nearly every weekend participating in races and marathons. At her final race, two fellow runners paused their own race to help Kelly cross the finish line beside them—a moment that perfectly reflected the kindness she inspired in others.

Kelly's greatest joy was her family. Whether she was spending time with her siblings, encouraging her nieces and nephews, or celebrating the newest generation of great-nieces and great-nephews, she made each person feel important and deeply loved. Family gatherings were always brighter because Kelly was there.

Billy Ray “Bill” Wright was born December 5, 1935, Garfield, Arkansas to his parents Ruth and Clyde Wright. He had three siblings: Katherine, John Litsy (JL), and Donald. Bill graduated from Vera High School in 1953. As a young man, he was known for his nice cars and good looks! He began his career as a draftsman at Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville before transitioning to a company eventually known as OXY Petroleum in Tulsa.

He married Mary Jo Woodworth in 1955, and they were blessed with three children: Roy Lee, Michael Ray, and Lisa Jo. Bill’s children enjoyed going water skiing on the lake, attending church together, and learning about farming and ranching from their dad. In his spare time, Bill restored classic trucks and tractors. Bill was a true example of a public servant and loved to volunteer his time to his community. He served as a mason in the Masonic Lodge and later was a member of The Gideons International. He also served on the Caney Valley school board.

Bill married Joan Wright on December 2, 1972. They enjoyed a beautiful 50 years of marriage together before Joan passed away in 2022. Bill and Joan were long-time members of the First Baptist Church of Ramona. Bill generously volunteered his time, skills, and resources to assist with expanding the church’s facilities and programs. Eddie Hendrix, age 74, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at Bartlesville Health and Rehab in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

A proud graduate of the University of Colorado, Eddie built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and independence. Throughout his career, he worked on the railroad and spent many years on the road as a truck driver, taking great pride in providing for those he cared about.

Eddie's legacy lives on through his loving family. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, LaTisha Roldan, Desiree Nwadinobi, and Breanna Hendrix Petry, all of Houston, Texas. He was the proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: ReNiesha Mitchell, Jose Roldan IV, Nicole Nwadinobi, Kaden Petry, McPatrick Nwadinobi Jr., Rafael Roldan, Ariyah Petry, Winston Petry, and Ayana Petry; and a cherished great-grandfather to Junie Mitchell. He also leaves behind his dear nephews Billy Hendrix, Michael Hendrix, Derrick Hendrix, and Donte Hendrix, alongside additional loving nieces, nephews, and extended family in Denver, Colorado.

The family extends a heartfelt, special thank you to his dear friend Mark for his unwavering support, friendship, and care for Eddie during his time of need.

Margie Lou Lewis, 76, passed away on July 25, 2026.

Margie was born on June 5, 1950, in Independence, Kansas, to Violet Geneva Nichols and Jeremiah Nichols. She was the seventh of eight children. The family later moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where Margie attended Central and College High School.

After the birth of her son, Gerald Lewis, Margie joined her husband in Germany. Their family later returned to the United States and lived in White Sands, New Mexico, where their daughter, Denise Lewis, was born. Over the years, the family also lived in Florida, Bartlesville, and Alabama before ultimately returning to Bartlesville. Following her divorce, Margie remained in Bartlesville to raise her children.

Known for her generous heart and nurturing spirit, Margie became a surrogate mother to many of her children's friends. When her grandson, Dallas Lewis, was born, she became an integral part of his life, helping to raise, guide, and support him throughout the years.

Margie worked as an assistant manager for Circle K, EZ Mart, and Stax convenience stores in Dewey, Bartlesville, Skiatook, and Collinsville, Oklahoma, until her retirement in 2011. She genuinely enjoyed interacting with people and was known for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others. No act of kindness was too small for Margie, and she was often the first to volunteer her time and assistance, even when her own resources were limited.

Shirley Ann Stewart (Duncan), age 91, was called home to our Lord on July 25, 2026. She was born in Shidler, Oklahoma on August 24, 1934. Shirley leaves behind 3 children, Terri, Sandi and Jay whom she loved beyond words and bestowed upon each of them all the ethics, values and morals that she practiced in her lifetime.

Music and dancing were Shirley’s passion. She clogged with daughter Terri, disco’d with daughter a Sandi and danced and pranced throughout her home when son Jay came home on military leave.


Shirley also leaves behind two grandsons, Nathan, wife Dee and Caleb, wife Jennifer; three grandchildren, Ethan, Luke and Abby and two sons-in-law, Russell and Todd and daughter-in-law, Liz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrle and her only sibling, Claudia.

Bobby Levon Alexander, born October 13, 1936, in Kenwood, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at Journey Home on July 26, 2026, at the age of 89. Bobby was the 14th of 17 children born to Irvin and Janie Alexander, growing up in a loving and bustling household.

He proudly served his country as a gunner in the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1957, Bobby married the love of his life, Phyllis, and together they built a wonderful family. He was a devoted father to Bobby Jr. and Philip, raising them in Dewey, Oklahoma, before moving to Copan to establish his cherished homestead farm.

Bobby was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his son Philip and Teri Alexander of Bartlesville, OK; and grandchildren Jordan and Nikki Alexander of Bartlesville, OK; Travis and Emily Alexander of Shawnee, OK; Jason and Jordyn Alexander of Bartlesville, OK; Justin Alexander and Angie Antwine of Oklahoma City, OK; and nine great-grandchildren.
After retiring from Reda Pump, Bobby devoted his days to farming, fishing, and hunting—three of his greatest passions. He was known for his love of animals and his generous spirit, often sharing the bounty of his crops with friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Bobby’s giving heart and infectious kindness touched all who knew him.

Paul Harrison Elvington, age 67, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on July 18, 2026.

Paul was born on October 2, 1958, in Whittier, California, to the late Estil Archie Elvington and Delores Chapman. He pursued his passion for aviation by attending the Spartan School of Aeronautics, earning his Associate Degree. Paul dedicated his career to working as an aircraft mechanic for American Airlines.

A man of diverse interests, Paul lived life with passion. He loved riding his motorcycle, going to the gun range, boating, fishing, and camping in the great outdoors. He enjoyed shooting pool, collecting cars, antiquing, watching old westerns or funny movies, and engaging in politics. Above all, Paul was passionate about collecting fi****ms, his motorcycle, and spending time with his friends and family.

Paul was a funny, quick-witted, kind, and truly passionate man. He was a loyal, reliable friend who was always there when anyone needed him. A smart and determined individual, Paul was an irreplaceable fixture in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be missed deeply.

Janette R. (Dunn) Sutherlin residence of Nowata, Oklahoma passed from this world on July 23, 2026. Janette was born at Nowata General Hospital on June 15, 1945 to Harold and Frankie (Huston) Dunn.

Janette attended Nowata schools and worked in the Delaware and Oklahoma Union School systems as the school secretary for 30 years.

She married Doc (Jerry) Sutherlin in December of 1969 in Nowata, Oklahoma where they made their home for 45 years until Doc passed away in 2015.

Janette enjoyed many things, including telling stories of her and her best friend Sue Lowe and Sherry Hall and the many “Lucy and Ethel” memories they shared. She painted milk cans for many friends and family members expressing their support for OU or OSU. She also collected John Deere items showing her and Doc’s love for their farm and farming days. In her later years, she began making bracelets and many family members still wear them or have them hanging from their car rearview mirrors.

Janette attended church when she could at the Cowboy Junction church in Vinita, Oklahoma often accompanied by her good friend Dorothy Gibson.

Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie and Harold Dunn, her sister Mary Sue and her precious daughter-in-law Jerri R. (Little) Sutherlin.
