We spent most of this week in Nashville at the Tennessee Health Care Association’s Annual Convention, and it was such a great week for our team! 💙
We were especially proud to have two of our employees honored during the convention!

🏆 Jaden Rosser, COTA, was named Caregiver of the Year for the Memphis District! Jaden is now one of six district winners competing for the state title, which will be announced in November. We are so proud of you, Jaden! ❤️

🎓 Toni Williams, RN, one of our Unit Managers, received a THCEF scholarship through the association to help her continue working toward her BSN. We are so excited to see Toni continue her education and grow in her career!

We also got to experience an amazing trade show with hundreds of vendors showcasing products, services and ideas to help make long-term care communities even better.

One of the best parts of the convention was hearing Captain Rick Phillips, the real-life survivor of the 2009 pirate hijacking that inspired the movie Captain Phillips. His story was an incredible reminder that we all have our own “pirate-like” stories and challenges we have to overcome.

Biggest takeaway: Never lose sight of the ultimate goal. Whatever comes your way, you can face it with a well-trained crew beside you. 💙

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from The King's Daughters and Sons Home! 🎆

We had a fantastic celebration Thursday, enjoying the Bartlett fireworks show right from our parking lot! Over 30 residents, along with lots of staff and family, joined in the fun!

👏 Shoutout to our amazing Activities team and all the staff who helped make this evening so special!

And most importantly — to our veterans — thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are forever grateful for your dedication to our country. 💙

💜 Happy CNA Week! 💜

Today was Rendezvous Day at The King’s Daughters and Sons Home, and our CNAs proudly wore their new CNA Week shirts—and we absolutely love them!

We tried some CNA trivia, and they knew every answer. We weren't surprised—our CNAs are truly amazing!

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for all you do—you are appreciated more than words can express!

This week we celebrate our amazing CNAs! Today we had a few fun contests, including bed-making races! Congratulations to Ashley for taking first place, with Liz coming in a close second!
We are so thankful for our CNAs and all their hard work. You truly are the heart of our home.

We had such a great time at our Nursing Home Week cookout today! Residents and staff all came together to enjoy the beautiful weather, good food, and some time outside. ☀️🍔
We are so thankful for our amazing staff who always go above and beyond to help keep our residents happy and cared for. Big shoutout to Oliver Smith for doing such a great job cooking today, and thank you to all the staff who helped make everything come together. We truly appreciate each and every one of you! ❤️

Happy Nursing Home Appreciation Week! ❤️
Our week just started, and we are already making wonderful memories! Tonight, we had the Outreach Circle come host a prom for our residents, and it was absolutely awesome! Everyone came out, received flowers and corsages, danced, took photos, and most importantly — had so much fun!

We are also excited for our cookout this Friday for both residents and staff as we continue celebrating the amazing people who make our facility feel like home. We truly love our residents and staff and KDS and want them to know how appreciated they are every single day.

A huge thank you to the Outreach Circle for hosting such a special prom and to all the staff members who stayed late to help make the night successful.

We are also incredibly thankful to City Union for donating 20 gift cards to each of our employees to show how much they are appreciated!
We are waiting on pictures of this weeks events and will be sharing them soon! 📸

Lastly, during Nursing Home Appreciation Week, we want to congratulate two of our outstanding employees on their recent accomplishments:
🎓 Teresa King, C.N.A, Staffing Coordinator, graduated from LeMoyne-Owen College with her Business Degree.
🎓 Jimmy Williams Jr, Infection Preventionist, graduated from the LPN to RN program at Dyersburg State.

We are so proud of all our staff and the dedication they show every day. Congratulations to our graduates, and Happy Nursing Home Appreciation Week to everyone! ❤️
