About me!
30 years of fitness history...
I was extremely active as a kid and enjoyed dance, diving, gymnastics, cheerleading and playing baseball. I ran, skateboarded, rode my bike and roller bladed everywhere! It made sense for me to work in a physically active field, and I started working in a gym in 1991 as a fitness and aerobics instructor. From there, I began my ex
tensive journey of yearly fitness certifications and trainings in every fitness modality imaginable. Most recently, I have been certified as a Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and a Group Exercise and Yoga Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). I graduated from Temple University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Exercise Science, did an internship in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Delaware County Memorial Hospital and then went on to manage corporate, commercial and community-based fitness facilities all over the region. In addition, for many years I taught college credit courses in Personal Training certification for World Instructor Training Schools (WITS) at Delaware County, Lehigh Carbon County and Reading Area Community Colleges, and worked as an internship advisor to many newly certified personal training students. Personal training became my passion, and I realized I wanted to use a more hands-on bodyworking approach with my clients, so I continued my education at the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks in Pottstown, PA in 2014. I am now a PA Licensed Massage Therapist, Level II Usui Reiki Practitioner and am certified in Cupping Therapy. I work in my private Douglassville location, as well as travel to my clients’ homes for Personal Training, Reiki, Cupping Facilitated Stretching and Massage. I offer occasional foam rolling classes at Wellspring on Main, in Douglassville, PA.
