Some of life’s most difficult experiences cannot simply be fixed: grief and loss, chronic health conditions, uncertainty, or worry about what the future may hold.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help you make room for painful thoughts and feelings without allowing them to determine every choice you make. Acceptance involves acknowledging the reality of what has happened while making space for the thoughts and emotions that come with it. This can free up energy to focus on the choices, relationships, and actions that remain within your influence.

With support from our ACT-trained provider, you can develop practical skills for navigating uncertainty, reconnecting with what matters most, and moving forward in ways that reflect your values, even when life remains difficult.

Summer has a way of ending before you've actually caught up with it.

You blink and it's September, and somewhere between the trips and the plans and the trying-to-enjoy-it-all, you never actually stopped to ask what the season was doing to you.

Processing isn't about sitting around overanalyzing everything. It's just giving yourself a minute to catch up with your own life. To notice what was hard. What changed. What you're still carrying.

You don't have to have it all figured out before fall starts. You just have to be willing to ask the question.

What did this summer actually give you?

Ever notice how "just rest more" doesn't actually fix it?

That's usually the tell. Stress responds to rest. Burnout doesn't, because burnout was never just about being tired.

Stress is too much. Too many deadlines, too much on your plate, too much coming at you at once. You're overwhelmed, but you're still in it. Still caring, still pushing.

Burnout is too little. Too little energy. Too little motivation. Too little feeling left, period. You're not overwhelmed anymore. You're checked out.

If you've been sleeping enough and resting on weekends and still waking up depleted, that's not a you problem. That's a sign this isn't stress anymore.

Burnout is a disconnection from meaning, from purpose, from yourself. And rest alone can't rebuild a relationship.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're not lazy and you're not broken. You're depleted. That's something we can actually work on.

Do you go quiet when things get tense? Like your voice just... leaves?

That's not you being difficult. That's not you not caring enough to fight for the conversation. That's your nervous system doing something it learned a long time ago.

Freeze is a survival response, just like fight or flight. When conflict didn't feel safe to face head on, especially when you were young, going silent was smart. It protected you. It probably still shows up to protect you now, even in rooms where you're actually safe.

The work isn't forcing yourself to "just speak up." It's noticing the freeze as it happens. Naming it. Finding your way back into your body, one small anchor at a time. A breath. Your feet on the ground. The chair underneath you.

You're not broken for shutting down. You're a person whose body got really good at keeping you safe. And now you get to teach it something new.

Tell us, what happens in your body when conflict starts? Do you shut down, or is it something else entirely?

Some days I forget to ask myself the questions I'd ask anyone else I love.

This is your reminder to pause and actually check in. Not just "how are you" on autopilot, but the real stuff. What you're feeling, what you're avoiding, what you need more (or less) of.

Swipe through and sit with whichever one hits hardest. You don't have to answer all of them today.

Save this for the next time you need to come back to yourself.
