Most people who walk into Zelena Medicine have already tried a few other things first.

Some arrive with peripheral neuropathy that started during chemotherapy or alongside diabetes, and some are still looking for a cause.

Others come in for chronic pain, pelvic floor concerns, the side effects that linger long after cancer treatment ends.

Whatever the reason, your first visit starts with your story.

I’m holistic down to my bones and I still have limits. 😆

There are trends I am never going to try, no matter how many times they land on my feed.

Cold plunges, raw milk, and coffee enemas aren’t my brand of wellness. (But you do you 😊️)

So much of what I do as an acupuncturist here in the Roaring Fork Valley is the opposite of that “extreme” energy.

Gentle can be effective.

You can feel comfortable and safe on my table and still walk out with real relief.

It’s most of what my patients tell me they couldn’t find anywhere else.

So no, you will not catch me climbing into a barrel of ice this winter. I’ll be inside where it’s warm.

We've had quite a few encounters with bears lately. Good reminder to be bear aware and know about new rules regarding encounters. Listen to this piece from KDNK community access radio.

By mid-August, Colorado Parks and Wildlife had received more than 6,000 reports of bear encounters in 2026. Lately, everyone seems to have a bear story, including KDNK's Katalina Villarreal, who recently reported on an educational campaign aimed at reducing conflicts.

People find Zelena Medicine for neuropathy care- from chemotherapy, diabetes, or often, an unknown cause. 🤷‍♀️

What they share is the numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, and how hard it is to describe.

One person tells me it feels like their socks are bunched up in their shoes (they’re not), another says numb and painful at the same time (common).

Most have tried other treatments with little result already, so they show up a little unsure of whether this will be any different.

Most conventional approaches work by dialing down the nerve signals, so the discomfort eases up for a while without changing what’s happening underneath.
