The most expensive treatment on any menu is the wrong one, even if the price tag looks reasonable at the time. You pay for it once to have it done, and again later to correct whatever it didn't fix or made slightly worse. That second payment is the part nobody budgets for.

This is the entire argument for imaging and consultation before treatment. It costs a little more time up front to save a lot more money later.

The first injectable filler was candle wax. Vienna, 1899. Warmed paraffin, injected under the skin.

There are four ways to deliver the same hormones, and genuinely different day-to-day experiences depending on which route you choose. Pellets tend to win on steadiness of level, since they release gradually instead of spiking and dipping. Creams and patches need daily attention; pellets mean you mostly forget about it for months at a time.

Adjustability favors creams and injections, since a pellet is committed once it's placed. Pellets themselves run three to four months depending on the individual, not a fixed number.

Ablative and non-ablative sound like jargon, but the idea underneath is simple. Ablative removes tissue on purpose, and your skin heals by building new tissue in its place. Non-ablative heats tissue underneath without breaking the surface, and collagen builds without a wound to heal.

One trades downtime for a faster, more dramatic result. The other trades speed for gentler recovery. Neither is automatically the right answer for everyone.
