🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT — JANICE LITTLE, MA, CCC-SLP 🌟
This week, we are proud to recognize Janice Little, Speech-Language Pathologist, for the experience, compassion, and dedication she brings to our patients and rehabilitation team every day! 💙
Janice has an incredible 30 years of healthcare experience and has spent approximately 26 years with our organization. She holds a Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders and is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
❤️ What inspired Janice to become a therapist?
Her grandfather had Alzheimer’s disease, and watching him lose his ability to speak, eat, and swallow inspired her to pursue a career where she could help others facing similar challenges.
🗣️ What she loves most about her patients:
Janice enjoys building relationships with patients over multiple visits and celebrating their progress alongside them. Seeing therapy positively impact their daily lives is one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
🏆 A professional accomplishment she is especially proud of:
Through her years of experience, Janice has developed extensive knowledge in swallowing disorders and instrumental assessments, helping provide effective, individualized care for her patients.
💡 Her advice for patients in rehabilitation:
“Be active, patient, and dedicated to the process. Stay motivated!”
Janice also wants everyone to know that speech therapy is about so much more than speech! Speech-language pathologists address swallowing difficulties, cognitive impairments, voice disorders, communication challenges, and much more.
