As a therapist, my primary focus is to provide you with the support and guidance you need to make positive changes in your life. Sharing personal details could potentially shift the focus away from your needs and towards mine, and that's not what therapy is about. I understand that you may be confused about the idea of not being friends in therapy. But you see, a friendship implies an equal partne

rship, and that's not what therapy is either. You will be paying me for my knowledge and expertise, and I will be providing you with the tools and guidance you need to make progress. It's important for me to maintain a certain level of professional separation to maintain my objectivity and provide you with the best care possible. Please don't misunderstand me, though. I care deeply about my clients and their well-being. I want nothing more than to see you succeed and achieve your goals. So, rest assured that my care and concern for you are genuine. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to bring them up in our sessions. Together, we can create a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
