🧠 Brain Awareness Month 🧠

The brain is at the center of everything we do — thinking, communicating, moving, and living independently. At Western New York Independent Living (WNYIL), we provide peer-centered support, resources, and advocacy for individuals living with neurological conditions, brain injuries, or other cognitive challenges.

Through our programs, WNYIL helps individuals:
• Develop independent living skills to stay active in the community
• Access peer support and empowerment
• Navigate healthcare, benefits, and community resources
• Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and independence

💙 This Brain Awareness Month, we celebrate resilience, recovery, and independence, showing that support and advocacy can help everyone live fully in their communities.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈

This June, we celebrate and honor the strength, resilience, and diversity of LGBTQ+ individuals, families, and communities. Pride is a time to uplift voices, embrace identities, and stand together for inclusion, respect, and equality for all. ❤️
We recognize that LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families may face unique challenges—and every young person deserves care that affirms who they are.
The Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Program is here to support families of all backgrounds. We provide connections to resources, services, and support systems that help children and youth thrive—while promoting inclusive, family-centered care.

💬 We are committed to supporting every child and every family—just as they are

• Build independence and confidence
• Access resources, services, and advocacy

Happy Global Day of Parents! 💙

Today we celebrate the love, strength, and dedication of parents and caregivers who nurture, guide, and advocate for their children every day. Families are the foundation of healthy communities—and every parent’s role matters. 🌱

We also recognize that some families may need additional support along the way. The Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Program is here to help. We connect families to resources, services, and support systems that promote the health, development, and well-being of children with special health needs.

Whether it’s navigating care, accessing services, or building strong support networks, we’re here to walk alongside you.

💬 You are not alone—we’re here for your family.
