Last night reminded us exactly why we love being part of this community. 🖤

🧹 We had such a lovely stream of witches, friends, longtime customers and new faces come through Urban Apothecary, and the shop was full of laughter, creativity and so many handmade brooms.

There were stories shared about the early days, conversations about how far we’ve come, and plenty of moments that made nine years in business feel especially meaningful. ❤️🙏🏽

To everyone who stopped in, made a broom, dressed up, brought a friend, shared a story, or simply spent a little part of your evening with us, thank you.

We’re so grateful for this community and for everyone who has been part of the Urban Apothecary story so far. ✨

It’s a beautiful crisp, sunny day in downtown Batavia and the whole town feels like fall.

The Batavia Farmers' Market is happening this morning 8-Noon, shops are open, the trees are turning, and the river and surrounding nature look straight out of a postcard.

And tonight, the fun continues with Witches Night Out throughout town.

🧘🏽‍♀️A simple reminder that caring for our minds is part of caring for our whole selves.

Mental wellness doesn’t exist separately from the body. Sleep, movement, nourishment, time outside, meaningful connection, boundaries, rest, and the ways we respond to stress can all be part of the bigger picture.

At Urban Apothecary, we think about wellness through a MindBody lens, as a collection of small, supportive practices that help us feel more grounded and connected to ourselves.

A few pillars we come back to often:

🌿 Rest, creating space to slow down and supporting a consistent sleep routine
🌿 Movement, walking, stretching, skating, hiking, gardening… whatever feels realistic for your body
🌿 Nourishment, food, hydration, herbs, and everyday rituals that support overall wellness
🌿 Connection, time with people who make us feel seen, supported, and less alone
🌿 Nature, fresh air, sunlight, trees, water, and simply getting outside
🌿 Pause, noticing what your body and mind may be asking for before automatically adding more

📝 None of these replace professional mental health care when it’s needed. They’re simply part of the broader ecosystem of caring for ourselves.

The series now has an independent website where you can explore past discussions, watch available recordings, find educational resources, and learn about upcoming speakers.
