Torus Center for Integrative Healing Wellness Center in Batavia & Chicago, providing integrative services for mind, body, spirit healing. Torus Therapy was designed for healing.

After the founders own healing journey, she found that meeting with various healers at different locations became burdensome and time consuming. In addition, she found that retreats helped and aided in healing, however it was difficult to integrate the work that was done once every day life resumed. As a result, Torus Therapy was designed to house all the healers in one place so that integration can happen in a natural progression and process. We have found that not everyone can afford retreats, nor does everyone have the luxury of being able to attend them. We bring the retreat to you, in your community, just in a different style that fits your everyday life. Our program is outlined for you to meet with various practitioners (with your permission), we work together as a team, focusing on your individual needs, and to develop a comprehensive wellness plan specifically for you. True healing is multifaceted and layered, and as it takes a village to raise a family, it also takes a village to help in your healing. Our team works together, we are cohesive and personal. We are family, and we hope that you find yourself being a part of our family too.

THE SPACE BETWEEN US Goat Farm in Elburn
Staying Connected Without Leaving Yourself

What happens when two people love each other, and still experience the same relationship very differently?

The conflict isn’t always the problem.

Sometimes it’s what happens inside of us when we feel misunderstood, disconnected, rejected, unseen, or afraid.

How do we respond when our partner pulls away?
What happens when we have a need?
Can we hear their experience without abandoning our own?
Can two different realities exist without one of us needing to be wrong?

And perhaps the deeper question:

Can I stay connected to you without leaving myself?

I’m excited to offer The Space Between Us, a 2–3 hour experiential workshop for couples who want to explore their relationship beyond traditional communication tools.

Together, we’ll explore the story beneath the story: our nervous system responses, protective patterns, needs, fears, and the meanings we bring into relationship.

Through teaching, guided meditation, embodied practices, partner exercises, and ceremony, we’ll practice something different:

STAY.

Stay with yourself.
Stay with what is happening now.
Stay curious.
Stay connected.
Stay long enough for something new to become possible.

We’ll close with an intentional ceremony centered not on promises to one another, but on a deeper question:

Who do I choose to be in relationship?

This isn’t couples therapy.
It isn’t about creating a perfect relationship.
And it isn’t about deciding who is right.

It’s an invitation to meet one another more fully, while learning to remain rooted in yourself.

Because loving another person doesn’t have to require abandoning yourself.

Sometimes the deepest work in relationship begins when we learn how to meet one another in the space between us.

Send to someone that needs this!!

Something is moving.

Since yesterday, I’ve heard from person after person in our community:

I feel lighter.
Something shifted.
Something released.

And I can feel it too.

There has been so much movement; astrologically, energetically, collectively. And after sitting in ceremony yesterday, I keep coming back to the image of mycelium.

An invisible network beneath the surface.

Separate, but never really separate.

That is how I have come to understand healing.

We think the work we do belongs only to us.

Our grief.
Our fear.
Our patterns.
Our surrender.
Our remembering.

But what if it doesn’t?

What if every time one of us has the courage to go inward; to release what we’ve been carrying, to choose differently, to return to love; something moves through the whole network?

When one of us heals, we don’t heal alone.

Maybe this is what collective healing actually looks like.

Not one person saving another.

Each of us tending our own piece of the web; and somehow, all of us becoming lighter.

When one person moves, the system moves.

This is at the heart of the work we’re moving into at Torus.

Living From the Heart Fellowship — a community for practicing this work together, because we were never meant to do all of our healing alone.

And Family Constellations — where we explore the unseen patterns and connections within our family systems and what can shift when one person takes their place differently.

Both are invitations into the same remembering:

We belong to something larger than ourselves.
Our healing touches more than ourselves.

There is big movement in the collective right now.

If you’re feeling it too, trust it.
Let what wants to move, move.
Let what is finished, be finished.

We are far more connected than we remember. 🌿

Living From the Heart Fellowship begins September 20.
Family Constellations coming this month.

Message us if you feel called to step into the work.

Of course I found this on the side of the road in Mexico.

LOVE IS THE ANSWER.

Maybe that sounds simple.

But living it isn’t always simple.

Because living from the heart doesn’t mean bypassing what hurts.

It means learning how to stay present when it would be easier to run.

To recognize the patterns we inherited.

To notice the ways we protect ourselves.

To have needs.
To create boundaries.
To trust our own discernment.
To remain open without abandoning ourselves.

And maybe that is what this season of eclipses has been asking of us;

to see what has been hidden,
release what can no longer come with us,
and create space for expansion.

This September, there are two ways we’re stepping into that work at Torus.

Family Constellations - looking beneath our individual stories at the patterns and loyalties we may have inherited.

And Living From the Heart - the ongoing practice of bringing what we know into how we actually live, love, relate and belong.

One helps us see what we’ve been carrying.

The other asks:

How do I want to live now?

Maybe love really is the answer.

But learning how to live from it?

That’s the practice. 🤍

🌕 FULL MOON CEREMONY THURSDAY 7pm

Sometimes life brings back what we thought we had already healed.

An old pattern.
A familiar longing.
A relationship.
A fear.
A part of ourselves we thought we had outgrown.

And our first instinct is often to ask:

Why is this happening again?

But perhaps the question is:

Who am I now when this touches me?

This Thursday, we’ll gather in ceremony around Surrender-What Returns When We Let Go.

Together we’ll explore the space between surrender and discernment:

🌿 What am I trying to control?
🌿 What is asking to be felt rather than fixed?
🌿 What am I ready to release?
🌿 Can I surrender the outcome without abandoning my needs?
🌿 Can I remain open while still honoring my boundaries?

Through meditation, breath, reflection, ritual and shared conversation, we’ll create space to listen to what is moving beneath the surface.

You don’t need to arrive with an answer.

Come with what is here.

Sometimes you understand the pattern and still can’t seem to change it.

You know why you over-function.

Why you feel responsible for everyone.

Why certain relationships activate you.

Why you keep finding yourself in the same role.

And still—the pattern remains.

Sometimes that’s because the story we’re carrying didn’t begin with us.

Family Constellations invites us to look beyond the individual and become curious about the larger systems we belong to.

What roles have I learned to carry?

What loyalties might be operating beneath my awareness?

What belongs to me; and what might I have been carrying for someone else?

This isn’t about blaming our families.

It’s about seeing differently.

Because sometimes when we can finally see the system, something inside of us has permission to move.

Upcoming Family Constellations at Torus.

Come experience the work rather than simply understanding it.

One of the topics that keeps coming up in my work with clients is how to remain grounded when we don’t know the answers yet.

How do I settle my nervous system when there is uncertainty?

How do I stay present instead of reaching for an answer just to make the discomfort go away?

How do I continue participating in my life when there doesn’t seem to be one clear or “right” choice?

We often think self-trust means knowing what to do.

But I’m becoming increasingly interested in something else:

What if self-trust is knowing that I can stay with myself while I figure it out?

We don’t always need immediate certainty.

Sometimes the practice is learning to create enough safety within ourselves to remain curious long enough for the next piece of information to arrive.

Maybe I don’t have to know yet.

This is what I’ve been exploring in my latest Story Beneath the Story piece: Curiosity Is Not Commitment. Link in bio
