A huge THANK YOU to the amazing public health team, community partners, and every family who joined us as we helped children get ready for a healthy and successful school year!

From immunizations and WIC resources to dental fluoride varnish, vital records, and community health information, our team worked together to make public health both accessible and fun. We loved seeing so many smiling faces enjoying our carnival-themed decorations while taking an important step toward a healthy school year.

❤️ This is what public health is all about—meeting our community where they are, creating a welcoming environment, and helping families access the services they need.

The Independence County Health Unit is committed to meeting people where they are. Your Public Health team recently had the opportunity to attend a local church, where they shared valuable health information and resources with families.

The team provided education and resources on:
💙 WIC (Women, Infants & Children) Nutrition Program
💉 Childhood and Adult Immunizations
🦷 Dental Fluoride Varnish

We believe that community outreach is one of the best ways to connect families with the services available right here in Independence County. Whether it's nutrition, immunizations, oral health, family planning, or other public health programs, the county health unit is here to serve our community.
