Our GOLD Families took over the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans today for a day full of learning, connection, and most importantly — FUN! 🦁💛

We are so incredibly grateful to all of the families who came out to spend the day with us and make today so special.

Can you feel the excitement? 😁 “I love it here! When can I get my bed and pillow and move in?” — a prospective 10th grader discovering the Louisiana School for the Deaf dorms. Our bright, modern common areas — colorful couches, game tables, and cozy corners — are ready for new memories. 🦅🏠

Great things are constantly happening for Early Childhood at L*D!

Hooked on bilingual beginnings! 🤟✨ Meleah & Rachael just got back from the National ASL & English Bilingual Consortium for Early Childhood Education and came home buzzing with inspiration. At the flagship annual summit they connected with hundreds of educators, researchers, and advocates committed to ASL–English bilingual early learning. They’re full of new ideas and ready to bring back strategies and resources for our classrooms and families. 👶📚✨
