Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a non-profit organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alzheimer’s Services is not affiliated with a national organization; therefore, all funds raised remain in our 10-parish service area to fulfill our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those coping with Alzheimer’s disease. We do this through our 3 core principles of teaching, caring and connecting. We have an award-winning day center, Charlie's Place Respite Center, a progr

am for individuals with early to mild stage Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders designed to provide cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We also have several support and educational programs to help guide caregivers and those affected along the arduous journey that is Alzheimer's disease. Our resource library offers endless materials from educations DVDs to pamphlets on numerous topics to local care options. We are your local resource for everything related to Alzheimer's disease.

Today, Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area proudly celebrates one year of Charlie’s Place III in Baker! Over the past year, this special location has provided a welcoming environment where individuals living with Alzheimer's and other memory-related impairments can engage in activities, build friendships, and experience joy, while offering care partners much-needed support and peace of mind.

We are grateful to our clients, families, staff, volunteers, donors, and corporate partners who have helped make this first year such a success. Your trust, dedication, and support have created a place where compassion, connection, and care thrive every day.

This support group is designed for former Alzheimer’s care partners seeking conversation, encouragement, and community in a relaxed setting.

Caring for a loved one living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging. That’s why Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area invites you to join us for our upcoming Care Partner Support Group.

This group provides a safe and supportive space to connect with others who understand the caregiving journey, share experiences, gain valuable resources, and find encouragement along the way.
