Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area

Alzheimer's Services Of The Capital Area Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a non-profit organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.

Alzheimer’s Services is not affiliated with a national organization; therefore, all funds raised remain in our 10-parish service area to fulfill our mission of making a significant difference in the lives of those coping with Alzheimer’s disease. We do this through our 3 core principles of teaching, caring and connecting. We have an award-winning day center, Charlie's Place Respite Center, a progr

am for individuals with early to mild stage Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders designed to provide cognitive stimulation and social interaction. We also have several support and educational programs to help guide caregivers and those affected along the arduous journey that is Alzheimer's disease. Our resource library offers endless materials from educations DVDs to pamphlets on numerous topics to local care options. We are your local resource for everything related to Alzheimer's disease.

The excitement was impossible to miss! 💜✨

One of our Charlie’s Place 2, Gonzales clients was so proud to create this beautiful handcrafted pen. From choosing the design to seeing the finished product come together, every step was filled with smiles, enthusiasm, and a true sense of accomplishment.

Activities like these do so much more than inspire creativity—they build confidence, spark conversation, and create joyful moments that make each day meaningful.

Seeing the pride on our clients' faces is one of the many reasons we do what we do.
