Final call: the Unmasking Group has a few spots left, and registration closes tomorrow.

If you're a late-identified autistic or neurodivergent woman who is worn out from holding it all together, this is a small, closed online space to stop performing for a while, alongside women who already understand.

Ten weeks, Thursdays, starting September 10. Online, capped at 8 women, for Louisiana, Florida, and Virginia. No forced sharing, no pressure to have your camera on or the right words. You don't need a diagnosis to belong here.

Every woman starts with a free 15-minute consult, so there's nothing to commit to before it feels right. If you've been on the fence, this is the last window before this cohort begins.

For more info and to book your consult before registration closes tomorrow:

You’ve been holding it all together for a very long time. 🌿

If you spend your days reading the room, scripting small talk, swallowing sensory overwhelm, and adjusting yourself to fit in... you know how deeply exhausting masking can be.

Starting September 10, I’m hosting the Unmasking Therapy Group—a small, closed 10-week virtual group for Autistic and AuDHD women ready to unmask, on their own terms, and find out who’s been underneath it all along.

This isn't a drop-in support group. It’s a dedicated, consistent 10-week space where the same small group of women meet each week to build real safety, process burnout, and connect without the pressure to perform.

✨ What to expect:

Low-pressure environment (camera-optional & text-chat friendly)

Focus on sensory recovery, unmasking, and releasing shame

Open to both formally diagnosed AND self-identified women

A space where you don't have to translate or explain yourself

đź—“ When: Thursdays starting Sept 10 | 3:00 PM CT / 4:00 PM ET

đź’» Where: HIPAA-Secure Video (Open to residents of Louisiana, Florida, & Virginia)

👥 Space: Strictly limited to 8 women

NOW ENROLLING — Registration closes September 4.

A little update on the different ways we can work together right now, in case one of them is what you have been looking for.

Individual therapy. One-on-one sessions for autistic, AuDHD, and neurodivergent women (21+) healing from emotional abuse, relational trauma, anxiety, and burnout. I now offer a sliding scale so cost is less of a barrier, with self-select tiers at $155, $205, and $250 per session. No proof of income, no gatekeeping.

Longer sessions when you need them. For the weeks when 55 minutes is not quite enough room to do the work, 90-minute extended sessions are now available for individual clients.

The Untangling Intensive. A focused one-on-one half-day to work through emotional abuse and the exhaustion of masking, paced to your nervous system, for women who want meaningful work without an open-ended weekly commitment.

The Unmasking Group. A new 10-week online group for autistic and AuDHD women who are tired of masking, starting August 6.

The Emotional Abuse Recovery Group. A separate therapist-led 8-week online group for women healing from an emotionally abusive or controlling relationship. Next cohort starts Aug. 28.

All of this is online for women in Louisiana, Florida, and Virginia, and in person in the Baton Rouge area.

If you are not sure which one fits, that is exactly what the free 20-minute consult is for. We can talk it through, with no pressure either way: https://kristen-morris.clientsecure.me

Unmasking doesn’t mean “drop everything.” It means “get safe first.”

For autistic and ADHD folks who’ve been masking for years: the goal isn’t perfection. It’s presence—on your terms.

• Selective unmasking: you choose where, when, and how
• Start inside: tune into your honest reactions before you change anything
• Try a pause before you respond in social situations
• If you can’t name what you need, you can’t ask for it
• Having needs isn’t selfish—it’s basic human survival
• Some places aren’t safe yet. That’s not failure

What feels scary about unmasking—and what feels like the safest place to try first?

07/12/2026

Unmasking isn’t “stop masking.”

If you just realized you’ve been masking, the next fear is usually: so what do I do now?

• Unmasking is selective, not all-or-nothing
• Safety decides where, when, and how you unmask
• Start inside: notice your honest reactions first
• Pause before you respond—tune into your natural instinct
• Having needs isn’t a demand. It’s a basic human signal
• You don’t have to unmask everywhere—choose safer people/places

Where would it feel safest for you to unmask first—inside, with one person, or in one setting?

07/12/2026

Unmasking isn’t a one-size-fits-all decision.

Unmasking safely means choosing where, when, and how—based on what feels safe for your nervous system.

• Selective beats sudden: you don’t have to “rip the mask off”
• Safety first: if you don’t know the people or the social rules, keep it on
• Ask the real question: who is safe for me to unmask around?
• Unmask from the inside first—tune into your honest reactions
• That fear of being perceived? It’s common in autistic people

Save this for later—and tell me: where do you want to start unmasking first?

07/12/2026

Having needs isn’t the problem. Not recognizing them is.

Unmasking isn’t just “stop masking.” It’s learning what feels safe, then tuning into what you actually need.

• If you can’t name it, you can’t communicate it
• Needs aren’t demands—they’re basic human needs
• High-masking autistics often can’t identify needs (it’s like an iceberg)
• Start with what feels natural and safe inside you
• Pause before you respond—your body often knows first
• Unmasking is selective. Safety decides the pace

Try this today: what do you feel right now, and what do you need from the next person?
