Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 St. James Place Garden Tour. Residents, families, and guests enjoyed a wonderful morning exploring our residents’ stunning patios, balconies, and gardens across campus.
The gorgeous weather made it the perfect opportunity to showcase the creativity and care our residents put into their outdoor spaces.
A special thank you to our Garden Committee, volunteers, and residents who helped make this annual tradition such a success. We are proud to celebrate the vibrant lifestyle and beautiful community that make St. James Place such a special place to call home.

What an incredible day at the 2026 Walk to Wellness Fair at St. James Place!
Residents, staff, families, vendors, and guests came together to celebrate healthy living by exploring all 8 dimensions of wellness through fun activities, health screenings, educational resources, movement, and community connection.
From blood pressure and glucose screenings to VR balance games, art activities, healthy snacks, and wellness bingo, there was something for everyone to enjoy while taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle.
A huge thank you to our amazing vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who participated in making this event such a success. We also appreciate those who donated non-perishable food items to support the Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Last week, St. James Place’s Healthcare Center wrapped up National Skilled Nursing Care Week with a heartwarming “Senior Prom” celebration for our residents.
The event was filled with dancing, laughter, smiles, and unforgettable memories shared among residents, their loved ones, and SJP team members. Daughters posed for prom photos with their dads, sons shared special moments with their moms, and several married couples enjoyed dancing the evening away together.
Events like these remind us that meaningful connections, joyful experiences, and compassionate care are at the heart of everything we do at St. James Place. Thank you to all the families and team members who helped make this celebration so special for our residents!

Our Dining Services team celebrated for receiving the U.S. News & World Report Emblem Award once again for High Performing Independent Living Food & Dining!
To honor this accomplishment, they gathered today for a well-deserved celebration featuring: Boiled crawfish, corn on the cob & potatoes, boiled meats, punch & dessert.
We are so proud of this outstanding team and grateful for the hard work, dedication, and heart they bring to our residents every single day. “How wonderful are your works!” Our residents know this very well - and this award reflects the exceptional dining experience our community enjoys year after year.
