💚 MAY IS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH 💚
At Winnfield Funeral Home, we understand that grief does not end when the service is over. Healing is a journey, and every person experiences it differently.
Grief can come in many forms, not only from the loss of a loved one, but also from life changes, illness, broken relationships, financial hardship, or unexpected transitions. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want our community to know that your feelings are valid, your healing matters, and you are not alone.
The 5 stages of grief are often described as:
• Denial – Difficulty accepting the reality of the loss or situation
• Anger – Feeling frustrated, hurt, or questioning “Why?”
• Bargaining – Replaying situations and wishing things could have been different
• Depression – Deep sadness, exhaustion, or emotional heaviness
• Acceptance – Learning to move forward while honoring what was lost
These stages are not always experienced in order, and everyone grieves differently.
Please remember:
✨ It’s okay to take time for yourself.
✨ It’s okay to feel overwhelmed.
✨ It’s okay to ask for help.
✨ It’s okay to not be okay.
Whether you are remembering a loved one, supporting someone else, or navigating your own healing journey, we are here, and we care.
