Member Spotlight: Maggie Henjum, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT 🌟
AAOMPT Member for 10+ Years
For Maggie Henjum, the decision to join AAOMPT came from witnessing excellence in action.
“The moment I decided to become an AAOMPT member was the moment I saw some of the biggest and best people in our profession helping patients at the highest level — and attributing so much of that growth, skill, and community back to AAOMPT.”
That inspiration came from her professor at the University of Colorado PT program, Paul Mintken.
“I remember thinking, ‘I want to be him when I grow up.’”
Today, Maggie continues to return to AAOMPT because of the people and the shared mission that unites the profession.
“This is a place where people truly care about education, bettering our profession, and ultimately improving care for patients. At its core, that is what AAOMPT is about: the simplicity and power of great patient care.”
Based in Minneapolis, Maggie is the owner of Motion clinics, where AAOMPT continues to shape how she practices, leads, and teaches.
“AAOMPT taught me to stay humble in my thinking, ask better questions, know when I’m wrong, challenge myself, support students, and give back to the profession.”
Most recently, Maggie and her team launched an internal residency program designed to support clinicians and students in the next phase of their professional growth.
“In many ways, I stitched together the lessons, mentorship, and values I’ve gained through AAOMPT and the colleagues who helped form me.”
👏 Join us in celebrating Maggie’s commitment to mentorship, leadership, education, and advancing patient-centered care.
