Meet Nova.
Nova was diagnosed with sickle cell disease when she was just one week old. Since then, St. Jude has been by her side, providing specialized care and support for her and her family. Her mom describes St. Jude as their support system through every challenge.
Despite the obstacles that come with sickle cell disease, Nova doesn't let it steal her joy. She loves school, enjoys dancing and singing, and keeps everyone entertained with her impromptu concerts at home and in the car. She's also a loving big sister with a bright spirit and incredible resilience.
This September, we walk for kids like Nova.
Join us at the St. Jude Walk Baton Rouge on September 19 and help support the life-saving mission of St. Jude, where families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

🎉 BIG NEWS, from our Gulf Coast Heroes program! 🎉

We've officially surpassed 1,300 runners, joggers, and walkers registered for the 25th Anniversary St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend this December! 💛

Even more inspiring, 569 St. Jude Heroes have already committed to going the extra mile for the kids of St. Jude, helping us raise an incredible $1.124 million and counting for lifesaving research and treatment.

With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month, this momentum reminds us why we run, walk, and fundraise: so families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

But we're not finished yet. Our next milestone is 1,400 participants, and we know this amazing community can get us there! Registration is still open for the 5K and 10K!

Now is the time to make plans to join us in Memphis on December 5, 2026, and be part of an unforgettable 25th anniversary celebration.
