Just 10 weeks after a clear mammogram, Kodi Wilson discovered a lump that led to a stage 2A breast cancer diagnosis, a double mastectomy and months of grueling chemotherapy. She is sharing her story to encourage others to trust their instincts, get anything unusual checked out and remember that when someone is facing cancer, sometimes the best thing you can do is simply show up.

Baton Rouge — Latonya Rodney discovered a lump in her breast in 2019 that changed her life. She put off visiting a doctor for about four months. When she was finally evaluated, doctors delivered a sobering diagnosis: Stage 2 triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease.
