During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we recognize the individuals and families navigating a breast cancer diagnosis and the many challenges that can come with it.

Palliative care can be an important source of support for people living with breast cancer, helping address symptoms, manage treatment-related side effects, and support quality of life throughout the course of the illness.

Palliative care can be provided alongside cancer treatment, at any stage of a serious illness. It focuses on the whole person, helping patients and families navigate concerns while supporting their individual needs and care preferences.

This October, we're raising awareness not only about breast cancer, but also about the supportive care available to those affected by it. Learn more about Palliative Care of Baton Rouge at hospicebr.org/palliative

Living with serious illness can bring a lot of questions.

What are my options? How can my symptoms be managed? What should I expect next? How do I make sure my care reflects what matters most to me?
You don't have to navigate those questions alone.

Palliative care provides an additional layer of support alongside a patient's existing medical care, helping patients and families understand their options, manage symptoms and make informed decisions about their care.

During a first home visit with Palliative Care of Baton Rouge, the team takes time to understand what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you.
