Happy 4th of July! We hope you're having a fun and safe holiday.
During these swelteringly hot Louisiana summers, it's important to know if your medication causes greater heat sensitivity and what you can do to prevent heat stroke or dehydration. Many common psychiatric medications can contribute to heat sensitivity.

Next month, we are starting a support group for LGBTQIA+ teens (12-17). It will be a virtual group where teens can connect with others in the LGBTQIA+ community, build resilience, and celebrate their identities. Limited spots are available. Reach out to secure your spot! April is Autism Acceptance Month. You may also see it referred to as Autism Awareness Month, but organizations like The Autistic Self-Advocacy Network say that what the community really needs is acceptance, not awareness.
Acceptance means adapting, advocacting, and embracing - not trying to change or "fix".
