I would like to personally thank the Battle Creek Bee Club, especially Briane Witherspoon and his wife, for generously donating six bottles of honey for my upcoming event. Your support means so much to me and to the women we are preparing to serve.

I’m also excited to announce that the Beyond Beautiful Interactive Engagements Foundation website is now live!

Visit https://www.beyondbeautifulfoundation.org/ to learn more about the nonprofit and our upcoming Stand For Her event on August 29. The event page includes an attendance form. Once you submit the form, I will follow up with you directly.

We are currently seeking monetary and in-kind donations to help make this event possible. If you own or represent a company that may be willing to contribute, I would be happy to speak with you directly or schedule an in-person meeting. I can provide our complete 501(c)(3) documentation and additional information about the Foundation, the event, and our current needs.

And for everyone asking about this look, I will share the complete steps in my Facebook group and on my Beyond Beautiful Cosmetics page. I used Beyond Beautiful foundation, concealer, blue eyeshadow, Covenant Connection eyeliner, and mascara.

The cosmetic products are available at https://www.beyondbeautiful.com/.

Thank you for supporting our mission, our upcoming event, and the women we are bringing together.

📣 Calling All Food Truck Owners!

Hello, everyone! My name is Baiyina Hodge, and I am the owner and steward of the historic Women’s Union building here in Battle Creek.

I’m looking to connect with local food truck owners who would be interested in partnering with me for upcoming community events, including an event honoring our women veterans.

I’m new to coordinating food truck events, so I’d love to meet and build relationships with local food truck owners. Whether you’re a long-established business or just getting started, I’d love to hear from you!

If you’re interested in collaborating, please send me a private message with:
• Your food truck name
• What type of food you serve
• Your contact information
• Any social media pages or website you have

My goal is to support local small businesses while creating fun, family-friendly events that bring our community together.

I look forward to connecting with you and hopefully working together soon!

I spent many years in ministry as a pastor, teacher, chaplain, and intercessor. I was always in the church—working, teaching, praying, interceding, helping, and pouring into the lives of others.

For a long time, whenever I spoke about that part of my life or mentioned a former title, I immediately followed it with, “I’m backslidden.”

I think I’m going to stop doing that.

My life took me through seasons I never anticipated, and those experiences profoundly changed the way I understand people. I believe that years ago, I had knowledge, faith, and a sincere desire to help, but if I am truthful, I lacked a level of compassion and empathy that I thought I possessed.

Then life happened.

I experienced things I never thought I would experience. I made choices I never thought I would make. I grieved. I struggled. I questioned. I needed grace instead of simply preaching about it.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I became a woman who understands people differently.

Today, my love, passion, and desire to help others is deeper than it has ever been. I no longer understand struggle only academically or spiritually. I understand what it means to live through difficult seasons, to wrestle with yourself, to lose pieces of who you thought you were, and to still discover that there is purpose on the other side.

I thank God for everything I have gone through.

The woman I was in ministry touched lives, helped people, prayed for people, and stood in the gap for many. I will no longer disqualify her or erase that season of my life because my journey became complicated.

Everything I have lived through has shaped the woman I am today.

And perhaps I am not returning as the woman I was.

Perhaps I am moving forward as the whole woman I have become.

Good morning,

We’re almost at the end of April… a whole quarter of 2026 is nearly behind us.

Let me ask you something, woman of recovery:

What are your goals for this year?

And more importantly… what are you doing to make them happen?

Recovery teaches us something powerful — time doesn’t wait, but healing gives us the chance to start again. Not perfectly. Not all at once. But intentionally.

Maybe your goal is peace.
Maybe it’s consistency.
Maybe it’s rebuilding your life, your confidence, your relationships… or simply learning how to show up for yourself every single day.

Whatever it is — this is your moment to check in, not check out.

Are your daily actions lining up with the life you said you wanted?

If not, there’s no shame here. Just truth… and a chance to realign.

You don’t need a new year to start over.
You need a decision.

So today, ask yourself:
What needs to shift?
What needs to grow?
What needs to be released?

And then take one step.

Not ten.
Not perfect.
Just one.

Because in recovery, small steps aren’t small — they’re everything.

Let’s talk about it.
Drop one goal you’re recommitting to for the rest of 2026 — and one action you’re taking this week to move forward.
