During our September Employee Townhall, we celebrated National Food Pantry Day. We held a food drive with employees bringing in non-perishable foods for donation. Thank you for your generosity and willingness to give back to those in need truly reflect the caring spirit of our community. We appreciate everyone who donated! National Food Bank Day is a reminder to others no one should go to bed hungry. Food banks provide food to the poor with the help of Volunteers and Social Workers. Today we are honoring Crosslines for all the wonderful services they provide by dropping off some goodies to enjoy!! Georgia, one of our Resident Ambassadors had a chance to tour and talk with many of the volunteers this afternoon. While visiting Crosslines one of our Residents Ron and a Server Monique were there volunteering.

Our Story Corner book for August was “Lila Greer, Teacher of the Year” by Andrea Beaty. We always love having the children into our Memory Care to read with our residents and make connections with them. This book brought back memories to some of our residents from the first day they moved into our community, feeling like the first day of school. But like the book our residents showed kindness and made them feel like they belonged just like the students did.

Our Acts of Service for the month of August to honor Martin Luther King Jr. and to celebrate Nelson Mandela Day was collecting and donating school supplies to McBride Elementary School!!
