Doris Ann Dean

Doris Ann Dean (Krauss) of Bay City passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026 at the age of 73.

Doris was born May 27, 1953 in Essexville to the late Raymond and Delores (Rezler) Krauss.

Doris married her husband, Clark on May 19, 1973 and they had 53 wonderful years before her passing.

Doris was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family with her whole heart.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Son, Brad Dean and his wife Traci, Daughter, Angela Howard and her husband Robert, Grandchildren, Blake, Natalee (Blake Leske), Dustin and Benjamin Howard, Seth and Brooklynn Dean, Siblings, Ronald and Wendy Krauss, Duane and Sue Krauss, Gloria Reames, Raymond Krauss jr., David Krauss, and Deborah and Brad Tippett, Sisters-in-law, Barbara Dean and Susan Deshaw as well as many Nephews and Nieces.

Doris was preceded in death by Her Parents, Father and Mother-in-law, Harry and Louann Dean, Brother and Sister-in-law, Scott and Kerry Dean, Brother-in-law Robert Deshaw, Brother-in-law Douglas Reames, and her Grandson William Howard.

In honoring the wishes of Doris, cremation has taken place and no services are being planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family.

Roy E. Schram

Roy Edward Schram Sr. passed away surrounded by family August 2, 2026 at Toni and Trish House.

Roy was born on June 28, 1940 in New York to the late William and Elizabeth Schram.

He was married to his best friend, Suzanne Schram, for 63 years. Together, they raised four children: Robbin (Mary Jo), Roy Jr., Heather (Michelle), and Christopher (Wendy).

He cherished his 10 grandchildren: Hannah (Nicholas) Wise, Luke (Brianna) Schram, Michael Enwiller, Kyle (Amy) Enwiller, Stephen Schram, Justin (Chelsea) Schram, Mark Enwiller, AJ Enwiller, Drake Schram, and Elle Schram.

Roy was an avid family man and treasured the time he spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Roy was a resident of Bay City most of his life. He graduated from Central High School in 1958 and attended Ferris State University. Roy worked as a floor supervisor and project manager for American Hoist, Baker Perkins, and Wright K. Roy took great pride in serving the Bay City as 9th Ward Commissioner from 1993-2001.

Roy was also a life-long sports fan and closely followed the Michigan Wolverines and NY Yankees. He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, spending many evenings in the Word.

Roy loved meeting and talking with people, and was always happy to share a story or two.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters Jean, Barb, Nancy, Esther, and brother Bill. He is survived by many precious nieces and nephews.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life in September. Additional details will be shared closer to the event. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy the family asks for consideration of memorial contributions to one of the following: Toni and Trish House, Faith Lutheran Church, and St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Bruce R. Linda

Bruce Raymond Linda, age 68, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 after a brief but devastating illness. Bruce was born on April 10, 1958 to Raymond and Kathleen Linda. He grew up in Crump, Michigan and it has always held a special place in his heart. Bruce was a master electrician for Macy’s for 43 years, which he was very proud of. He had a passion for classic sports cars which kept him tinkering in the garage his entire life. He loved cruising around the golf cart up at the cabin and tooling around on the pontoon after retirement. As he got older his greatest joy was his grandson, Brady “Papa’s Buddy” who filled his heart.

Surviving Bruce are his wife of 47 years, Kathy Sue; children, Christopher and Ashley; grandson, Brady Linda; mother, Kathleen Linda-Beckrow; sister, Cindy (Dave) Witucki; brother, Kevin; Mother-in-law, Alma Watton; brother-in-law, Robert (Ann) Watton, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his fur baby, Cooper. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Linda; step-father, Robert Beckrow and his father-in-law, Lewis Watton Sr.

At the request of Bruce, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy, may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.

Frank William Tribfelner

Frank passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Willows of Bay City at the age of 90. He was born to the late Frank W. and Helen (Fisher) Tribfelner on August 27, 1935 in Bay City. He was a longtime member of North Euclid Church of God and was a proud United States Army Veteran. He graduated from T.L. Handy High School and received his Bachelors degree from Central Michigan University.

Frank was very proud of the many accomplishments he achieved throughout his life. Among his greatest adventures was his love of travel. He had the remarkable opportunity to visit every county in the United States, as well as 69 countries around the world. Above all, Frank cherished his family and held a special place in his heart for his nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephew.

Frank is survived by his brother, Robert A. (Karen) Tribfelner; nephews, Robert B. (Allison) Tribfelner, Frank J. (Erin) Tribfelner and James M. Tribfelner; great nephew, Robert C.; great nieces, Isabelle, Paityn, Rachel and Palmer and many cousins.

Funeral service for Frank will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at North Euclid Church of God. Officiating will be Pastor Chris Slosser. A private burial will be held at a later date at Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Gephart Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to the North Euclid Church of God.

Shaun William Boucher

Shaun Boucher, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1977, in Bay City, Michigan.

Shaun was a kind and loving man who was cherished by his family and friends, had a keen sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed playing video games and taking pride in caring for his yard. Most importantly, Shaun was a devoted and loving father who treasured the time he spent with his son, Shaun Jr. His love for his family and the special bond he shared with his son will remain a lasting memory.

Left to cherish Shaun’s memory are his beloved son, Shaun Boucher Jr.; his parents, Audrey Marie (Duane) Boucher and William Boucher; brothers, Jeremy (Lara), Matthew, and Joshua (Lexy); favorite aunt, Kathleen Hinkley; grandmother, Mary Lou Rohr; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In accordance with Shaun’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

William August Hoffman Jr.

William passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Toni and Trish House, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 89. He was born on May 25, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late William Sr. and Florence Hoffman.

A 1955 graduate of T.L. Handy High School, William proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army in December of 1960. During his military service, he was stationed in Germany during the construction of the Berlin Wall, an important moment in world history. Following his honorable service, William began a long and dedicated career with Dow Chemical, where he faithfully worked for 40 years before retiring in 1994.

William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose quiet strength, steadfast work ethic, and love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, John (Maryann) Hoffman, Jonie Hoffman and her dear friend, Tim Hompstead, and Lori (Dennis) Tebedo; four grandchildren, Stephanie Hoffman, Jeffery (Hailey Powers) Madison, Ashley Hoffman, and Julia Hoffman; brother, Dale Hoffman; sisters, Sue McHenry, and Darla Verhague; as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Hoffman; his sons, William Hoffman and Thomas Hoffman; and his siblings, Donald Hoffman, James Hoffman, and Joan Nelson; brother-in-law’s, Casey Marshall and Larry Marshall.

Honoring William's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy may consider a memorial contribution in accordance with the family's wishes.

Daniel "Dan" P. McCarthy

Daniel McCarthy passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born on February 12, 1935, in Bay City, Michigan, Dan was the son of the late William E. "Chip" and Mary (Brophy) McCarthy. A lifelong resident of Bay City, he dedicated his life to his family, his faith, his country, and the community he proudly called home.

Dan was a faithful member of Visitation Parish for more than 41 years and was deeply committed to serving others. He honorably served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1962, a period of service of which he was especially proud.

An active civic leader, Dan generously gave his time to numerous organizations throughout the Bay City area. He was a former member of the Bay City Serra Club and the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and was an active member of the Bay City Kiwanis Club, Bay City Lodge No. 88, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Knights of Columbus Council No. 414, Fourth Degree, and American Legion Post No. 249 in Essexville.

A proud 1952 graduate of St. Mary's High School, Dan continued his education by earning an Associate Degree in Accounting from Bay City Junior College before receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Michigan State University in 1956. Following graduation, he joined his father in operating the W.E. McCarthy Insurance Agency, a respected family business that later became part of a merger with several local insurance agencies.

On October 15, 1958, Dan married the love of his life, Sharon A. Dumeah. Together they shared a loving marriage until her passing on August 21, 2004, and were blessed with five children: Kevin (Amy) McCarthy, Bridget (Blair) Bissell, Brian (Ann) McCarthy, Kathryn (John) Theiler, and William (Torre) McCarthy; sister, Ann M. (Gene) Arnold; Dan also leaves behind thirteen cherished grandchildren and ten beloved great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immeasurable pride and joy.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Fr. William A. McCarthy, on April 30, 2009, and by his special friend Sharon Kiehl.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Parish – St. Mary's Church. Dan will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Private interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Our Lady of Peace Parish.

Susan Kay Marshall

Susan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Carriage House, with her loving family by her side, at the age of 74.

Born on November 9, 1951, in Bay City, Michigan, Susan was the daughter of the late Wilmar and Elsie (Behmlander) Schwab. She graduated from T.L. Handy High School with the Class of 1969. A lifelong member of St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, Susan faithfully dedicated her time and talents to her church family. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid, the Funeral Committee, and the church choir, where she formed many lasting friendships through her years of service.

Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks, exploring garage and estate sales, and discovering hidden treasures along the way. More than anything, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering kindness, and thoughtfulness toward others. Susan rarely let a special occasion pass without sending a handwritten card, whether it was to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, offer encouragement, or wish someone well during a difficult time. These simple but meaningful acts of kindness touched the lives of many and reflected the compassion with which she lived each day.

On February 5, 1983, Susan married the love of her life, Ed Marshall, who survives her. Also left to cherish her memory are her son, Chad (Renee) Dean; her stepchildren, Scott Marshall, Jason Marshall, and Ryan Marshall; her beloved granddaughter, Mackenzie (Jake) McIntyre; several step-grandchildren; her siblings, Mary Jo (Steve) Westphal, Jim (Joan) Schwab, Sharon (Fred) Klumpp, Jayne (David) Shanahan, and Bryan (Patty) Schwab; her sister-in-law, Vicki Schwab; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, John M. Schwab in 2008.

Honoring Susan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry Seafert officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service to share memories and celebrate Susan's life. As a tribute the Ladies Aid will prepare a meal following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church or to the Capital Campaign Fund.
